marcia [email] said at 4:42 PM 05-16-2008: I think they come out every Thursday... (that's how it is in DC, anyway)? The publishing dates are on the front.

I've often considered trying to get a job at the SF office since I have "connections" but I haven't noticed them hiring for any jobs that I'm qualified for lately. Back when I was attending Madison, it was my dream to one day write for them. I'd settle for being their receptionist now, though.
marcia [email] said at 4:40 PM 05-16-2008: Every city has a different number of staff for The Onion. In DC, there are only technically 3 of us, me, the local DC editor, and Ben. And Ben and I aren't on The Onion' payroll, we're actually on The Washington Post's. I'm actually a designer for The Washington Post Express, not the Onion, but I fill in for Ben whenever he's not around. It's insane to me that the entire DC Onion edition is created by, literally, 2 people and a few interns each week.
I wonder how big the staff is in other cities. Do they even have receptionists?
marcia [email] said at 11:57 PM 06-11-2008: No, they have a "deal" with them. The Post has its fingers in anything that could be a potential rival in town.
