Negative 4 degrees this morning and the high today was only 4 degrees. The wind chill is WELL below zero. Walking to my car was like the fucking death march. Jesus Christ. And these idiots are going to sit exposed to it for 3 hours tomorrow in Green Bay to watch the Packers and the Giants. Unbelievable.

Would you say that you.... can't move at all?
Have you been.... screaming?
Do you feel as if "they can't hear my call"
Are you as... I am: dying to live
Dude, just.. cry out:
"Im trapped under ice"

amanda [email] said at 12:58 AM 01-22-2008: It's really not that bad. At least there were lots of people around so as to huddle together, and everyone had advanced warning of the weather conditions and knew to bring out the hunting gear and wools and long underwear. Believe me, it's much worse when it's that cold and you're sitting on a bucket, staring into a hole on a frozen slab of ice that's completely open to the wind, waiting for a fish to happen by and perhaps--MAYBE--be hungry for your bait.
amanda [email] said at 1:39 AM 01-22-2008: It's fun, but I recommend trying to go with someone who has a shanty set up unless you're only going out for an hour or so. Otherwise it can be pretty miserable, depending on the day.
The best part about ice fishing is getting back to a warm house and indulging in a hot buttered rum or some hot cocoa. Also, no live wells! You just throw the fish out on the ice away from the hole and they stay chilled and fresh.
