Gorilla Girls! NYC, baby.

Hey, if you're interested in striking conversation with the Gorilla Girls about this year's Whitney Biennial... go to the museum tomorrow Saturday May 13 between 11 am and 1pm. I hear they will be out front distributing bananas and talking shop, with cameras rolling.

yay, high five the grrrrrrrrillas for me! i'll be working so i can't go.

this is truly an odd city for socializing.... high rents, way too many shows to ever possibly see.

here are more leads on fun free stuff...

the schedule hasn't yet been announced for SummerStage in centeral park yet either.

stay stay. forget about all the slimy mice, dudes and slow subway trains. summer is when it actually gets fun for people who have no budget for entertainment! (maybe this is why i prefer art galleries all year round?)

here is the website for the city's free events The Summer Stage listings will be here.

Belle and Sebastian will be playing on the 4th of July with Martha Wainwright opening. The event will be free, but it will be ticketed, as there are only 5,000 people that can fit in the new resized summer stage area in Battery Park. I'll let you know when they will be available ahead of time so you can get tickets.
