noooo

I just lost one of my favorite material posessions: my sunglasses.
Carla gave them to me a few years ago, and I grew to love them so much that I have been dreading the day when they would be lost or broken.
Today was that day.
I took a long walk and they fell out of my back pocket somewhere. If there were daylight left, I would have retraced my steps completely... but there is little hope for me now.
Yes, I am ashamed for placing such value on something so stupid, but I'm going to waste a lot of time tomorrow trying to search the internet for a duplicate pair.
At least I have a sweet photo of Peter wearing them.

after reading the first line of your post, i immediately thought of my favorite sunglasses i lost on a somewhat violent tubing trip over the summer. looked at the picture and those glasses look exactly like my lost ones. are they by any chance oscar de la renta?

This is how I am about my black men's watch cap that I lost last February. I'm hoping that it is a winter staple at Target and will reappear this season. It was just the perfect thickness and fit my head in sleek manner.

Man, that sucks. I loved those glasses, too, and they looked awesome on you. I'll keep my eyes open for anything similar.

Also, Fossil had some that looked similar at the department store that I used to work at. So, if you have a Saks Inc. owned department store in the area you may want to try them. Additionally (and as always), I suggest TJ Maxx or Marshall's.

that sucks but i'd say they lived a lengthy life span (in sunglasses world anyway...)

Trixie's Palace in Fells Point has some similar pairs. I got my last pair there and I'm waiting to see how long I can keep these around.

I just purchased these, we'll see how they live up to the magic:

now for posterity and vanity I will post two photos of me in the sunglasses, drawing this post to a close as I reach the stage of "acceptance".
