Ed!!!

Have you read it? Are you done? What did you think?

Are you just dying for the last one?

I thought I would never recover when Sirius died, but now...I cried myself to sleep.

I 'aven't, yet. But I know why you cried. I'm all about reading spoilers. Especially when Josh posts them as links. Heh.

My current backlog of four books in queue is making it look like I'll end up getting a copy of H-BP offa ebay for 99 cents with 15 dollar shipping. :)

I saw a hairy otter today - it was at the aquarium. This is not a double entendre.

oooooh i started to write a really long response to this including spoilers, but i just couldn't!

I also cried! For like 30 Minutes (while reading of course)! I even considered not finishing the book! I want to elaborate, but won't for sake of others' having not finished yet.

All in all after having just had an hour-long discussion about the book with my brother and then another discussion with my sister, I feel better about the book. My brother is accepting the book as a whole experience, as a book. This is best. I wanted to fling it across the room, or wished parts could be changed. but i did like it, but the fourth is still the best.

It's alright Kate. It's just some British woman's imagination. It's not for real. Everything will be alright.

you know, my next line was about how it's all fiction anyway, but i deleted it. ha ha! i know, tears for fiction! could that be a band name? um, i have to think about that one.

i felt my whole world tumble into darkness...but i keep ruminating on when he said, please, severus, please...

ohh amy, i have a good idea of what is going to happen in the next book, and feel a lot better about it thanks to my brilliant friends christina and alicia! how could i have been so thick? of course snape is not bad! just think about it a little. he trusts snape...and he got really pissed off when harry thought he was a coward. doh!

        -Spoilers-

How is Snape not bad? I feel like the series already flirted with the fact that maybe Snape was good, because he's saved Harry's life and stuff... but I thought this recent occurrence was meant to put an end to all the "Snape is good" speculation once and for all. Are you thinking that it was all just a trick, to prevent Malfoy from actually killing him for real? Like, maybe Snape just put him into a coma or something?

Just curious to talk about it, I don't know anyone else who's read it or has interesting theories!
julie [email] said at 4:10 PM 07-27-2005:
          ...anyone?
meredith [email] said at 12:16 PM 08-01-2005:
Okay, so I finished the book in one day while I was camping and I too cried. A lot. I hid in my tent and cried over Harry Potter in the dark while everyone else was drinking at the campfire. I'm a dork. I am now going to write spoilers freely because I figure I'm the last one to get through the book seeing as how I ordered it from the UK like a big ole snob.

I too wonder if Snape was bad. I think that perhaps Dumbledor might have died anyway after drinking whatever potion he drank and was going to have to be killed anyway and just didn't want Malfoy to do it and loose whatever shred of humanity he has left.

Of course, I could be wrong and he could be all evil. Considering that I thought Malfoy had been bitten by Greyback and was a werewolf throughout most of the book and that Harry was completely on the wrong track....
ed [email] said at 6:18 PM 07-23-2005:
Yeah... the sad part is... even though I already know it's going to happen - I'll cry like a baby when I read it.

Funny (I guess). I used to be the most stoic mofo you'd ever meet. I met someone who convinced me that the "hard outer shell" thing was bullshit.

Now, sometimes, I almost wish I had the hard outer shell back.

    Almost. But not really.
