I Will Trade Ya! - Fair Trade Mix

Okay so this picture is a little easier to see when it is bigger, but I meant it to be a play on "trade" since bananas are big trade to come into new orleans' port...and well it's just a desperate use of a picture frankly. This is a banana bourbon cake I made and we took a picture to show how "similar" it looked to the real thing. oh god, i'm tired. no, it's too late for coffee folks.

My point...

I want to do a trade with someone, anyone really.

I just made a cd for this sole purpose. It's finished and it comes as is folks. It is full of new and old indie tunes. I would like to trade it for anything really, preferably a mix cd or any small art or creative thingy. If you are a girl and are thinking that you would rather a more girly mix, I am thinking of doing a bad arse girly mix. again, julie, i am sending you your mix this WEEK!

Here is the set list.

KATE'S KILLOGGS FAIR TRADE MIX

Twilight Creeps - Crooked Fingers
Back to the Lake - Guided By Voices
Hot Chocolate Boy - Beat Happening
Car and Driver - Rock*A*Teens
It's Gonna Take an Airplane - Destroyer
Be Kind and Remind - Rogue Wave
Kanon - Enon
The World Is a Disco Ball - Future Bible Heroes
Monkey - Low
A Year of Seconds - The Standard
Sunlit - Paik
Sunday Nite Health - Longwave
Killing Moon - Pavement
Not for All the Love In the World - The Thrills
Neighborhood #4 (7 Kettles) - Arcade Fire
Here Comes the Sun Again - M. Ward
When Youre Drifting - Mojave 3

Those look like some tasty bananas!
kate [email] said at 10:31 AM 02-23-2005:
I flambéd them with bourbon and sugar! It was a very fun recipe.
jeremy [email] said at 10:43 AM 02-23-2005:
      can you post the recipe?
ed [email] said at 10:44 AM 02-23-2005:
        YES!

I'd like to impress my woman with a cake like this. I'm figuring her underwear will just fly right off.

You know that shit works, Jeremy. Every time my Jeremy goes all out cooking my favorite stuff, he always gets some fairly immediately.

Ironically, the only time I ever cooked for my ex girlfriend was after we had already broken up. She was a very good cook herself, though, and enjoyed doing it for me, so I didn't try to stop her.

I hope you can handle that it's a Martha Stewart recipe. I love her, shut up.

It's a cool recipe for entertaining because the cake can hang out in the fridge until you are ready to serve it. Then you can flambé the nanners for the guests to see and then serve it immediately after that!

        Mmmm!

          Bless you!

I can't eat this kinda stuff anymore, but I do occasionally like to impress and surprise people with my baking prowess.

Which reminds me, I have to go to the store. I promised to bake coconut macaroons for the Wednesday afternoon book study. Need coconut!
