Right now, I'm thinking May of next year. Does anyone know cool places to go, things to do, good ways to save money (other than staying in a hostel, which I plan on doing)?

scott [email] said at 6:37 PM 02-15-2005: When I was there I stayed in a hostel converted from the old olympic village at the top of the hill. It wasn't too bad, and definitely cheap. Every night there were a bunch of makeshift clubs/parties in the buildings up there, too. Food was really cheap. It was my second favorite place in my two months of European travels, I think.
scott [email] said at 7:04 PM 02-15-2005: San Sebastian, Spain. It's on the ocean in the north, and I think I liked it because I basically knew nothing about it before I went (kind of like Prague). Awesome food, lots to drink, the beach, an old town too narrow for cars, super laid back, it's got crazy week-long parties and international film festivals...oh yeah, the Spanish women aren't bad, either. Always dressed to kill.
carly said at 7:25 PM 02-15-2005: praha is the funnest city in europe that i've been to. it's so cheap (or was..are they euro yet?). food is cheap with huge portions. and it's just a plce you can wander around and do absolutely nothing all day. just take the transporation all around.
there are of course the obvious attractions, karl's bridge, the astrological clock thing whatever, the museum, absinthe...
the castle was disappointing because it's not a typical castle of usual castle architecture. but it's fun to go up there and then trek back down.
yadda yadda praha is fun. take a trip on the vlatava or whatever their river is called.
on the karl's bridge there is usually an old man who paints portraits of himself all day with animals ears and a clown nose. and he won't let you photograph him. try to find him he's great.
nelson. said at 11:59 PM 02-15-2005: Prague was also one of my favorite cites in Europe, and one of the cheapest as well. I remember eating really good Czech entrees for about a $1 at restaurants there, and a half-liter of beer was only 50 cents! Most of the town is exceptionally beautiful; I highly recommend going there. I can't remember the name of the hostel I stayed in, but it was a little bit off of the beaten path, and it only cost $7 a night.
Vee said at 1:53 AM 03-13-2005: Hey, Prague is a cool place. I stayed in the HOTEL ARLINGTON (www.hotelarlington.cz). It is right next the SAZKA ARENA STADIUM so if you like ice-hockey you cannot choose a better place to stay and it is not far from the center by the subway. In addition to this the beer is very cheap in a CZECH pub.
