Believe it or not, I discovered today that this was about to come out on DVD, and am now totally psyched.

I haven't seen it since I was in the single digits.

"Believe it or not" haha.

I don't remember if he ever found the instructions.

It ended before he did. This show and the Fall Guy with, um, what was his name, the character's name, Colt Severs or something are my earliest television memories, save, maybe the Dukes.
brandon [email] said at 9:58 PM 01-11-2005:
ACtually, because of the Fall Guy, I hoped and prayed for years that there would be jetpacks in my life, I just knew it.

It's just another reason to hate George Bush. He and his Detroit and Edo friends are keeping affordable jet packs off the market.

Connie Selleca was the hottest babe ever, at the time.

i used to love this show so much.
josh [email] said at 10:23 AM 01-12-2005:
I believe he found the instructions once, and learned how to do some cool tricks, but then he had to choose between saving some people and the instructions, and saved the people instead?
brianbibbly [email] said at 11:19 AM 01-12-2005:
I remember once he got to go back on the Alien ship which gave him the suit and read some instructions there but was zapped off the ship before he could read too many for some reason and didn't bring the manual with him. D'oh!
brian [email] said at 11:06 AM 01-12-2005:
So i was talking to my co-workers about this and came to the premise that this was the absolute worst idea for a show ever. Then one of them brought up this:

MANIMAL

"Dr. Jonathan Chase - wealthy, young, handsome. A man with the brightest of futures. A man with the darkest of pasts. From Africa's deepest recesses, to the rarest peaks of Tibet. Heir to his father's legacy and the worlds darkest mysteries...Jonathan Chase, master of the secrets that divide man from animal, animal from man, Manimal."

Believe it or not, George isn't at home,
Please leave a message... at the tone!
I must be out, or I'd pick up the phone
...where could I beeee?
Believe it or not, I'm not home!
myriam [email] said at 11:16 AM 01-12-2005:
For the benefit of others like myself who entirely missed this show, here are the actual lyrics to the theme song:

Look at what's happened to me,
I can't believe it myself.
Suddenly I'm up on top of the world,
It should've been somebody else.

Believe it or not,
I'm walking on air.
I never thought I could feel so free eee eee.
Flying away on a wing and a prayer.
Who could it be?
Believe it or not it's just me.

It's like a light of a new day,
It came from out of the blue.
Breaking me out of the spell I was in,
Making all of my wishes come true ue ue.

Believe it or not,
I'm walking on air.
I never thought I could feel so free eee eee.
Flying away on a wing and a prayer.
Who could it be?
Believe it or not it's just me.

Amazing. For other fun trivia, go here.

I remember this song. And I remember him flying into a billboard during the opening credits. That's all I remember.
dave [email] said at 11:46 AM 01-12-2005:
I think the band Zoinks! does a cover of this song.
cecil [email] said at 3:24 PM 01-12-2005:
    Hey, what about the bridge?

This is too good to be true
look at me, fallin for you...

that would be the radio edit

I loved this show. This and the A-Team were the perfect double feature at Grandma's when I was 10.

Later on I went to camp with Katt's son Clayton. He was a cool kid.
jeremy [email] said at 12:31 PM 01-12-2005:
I think if I saw this show again (I have no recollection of it right now) I would probably be floored with nostalgia. If it was back to back with the A team then I'm sure I watched it.
