What an awesome weekend!
Thursday night I went to a show and got tipsy.
My friend fell down the Ottobar stairs and we took her to the emergency room. She got stitches in her chin.
I was at the emergency room until 7:30am.
I called in sick and missed a day of work... because I am roling in money and can afford to miss as much work as I want.
Saturday night I wrote checks for my bills. Again with the rolling in money thing.
Scraping by last week because of my late paycheck has paid off with me having some money saved up to buy records at Reptilian. I have a list.
I overslept again today, but at 5:30 I woke up to go get my damned records!
Someone smashed my car window.
There was nothing in my car to steal.
So much for Reptilian.
So much for just about anything, this week.

thanks! Send me food. Non-perishables only, please, because I no longer have a refridgerator either. That was one of the other things that broke this week.

"window smasher" must have mistaken my department's Linux-based PowerEdge server for an XP machine. 22 hours of downtime & recovery of a completely fubared RAID drive array. Naturally this happened after the backup system stopped working properly a month ago, so after what I consider an absolute miracle, the system was re-built and all research/administrative data is intact. I've never seen anything so completely hosed (especially via several logical assignments spanning 12 drives) regain nearly all its fuctionality like this in my entire computing past.

Time for malt liquor and sleep.
