  • last night, i saw kylesa. they were great, i got some good photos too, i think.
  • i was driving down 18th and i saw cricket, daisy, laura and crystal. i stopped to say hey and they said they got mugged at gunpoint.
  • i hung out with a girl who was making fun of her midget landlord who comes to their house every day and leaves them notes.
  • this morning i was racially harrassed by a man on the streets of arlington who called me a "white boy" and a "white motherfucker". he was old.
  • i also was security checked in DC by homeland security troops.
  • i have a student worker who is a rapper and i'm trying to find tasks for him to do.

I get checked by Homeland Security police 3 times each morning and 3 times each afternoon. But then again, I drive right past the Capitol every day. Within damage-from-exploding-car distance, apparently.

I'm counting down the days until I get mugged. So scary man.
craig [email] said at 11:11 AM 08-12-2004:
I love the juxtaposition of Homeland Security keeping everyone safe from terror in DC, whereas almost everyone I know who lives there has been mugged or assaulted on the street.

I think I am the only person I know who lived in D.C. and was not the victim of some sort of crime.
julie [email] said at 12:14 PM 08-12-2004:
Some sort of crime? Yes. Mugging? No, not yet. But because I just said that, I'm screwed.

I have also never had anything happen to me in New Orleans.

When I was an adolescent though, I had the window to my automobile smashed outside of the Broadmoor Cinema in Baton Rouge, La.

Me neither. Actually, New Orleans is the safest place in the United States to live. We make up all the stuff about crime and murder just to keep all the Yankees out.

i was almost shot in the face in NO when i was a kid once. it was entirely my own fault, though.

Also: every citizen of DC is a victim of the crime of NOT HAVING VOTING REPRESENTATION IN CONGRESS.

      Taxation Without Representation.

I am okay, nowadays, just feel empty. Feels like experiencing a lot and never being able to learn from it and then starting all over again...pretty much like an empty cereal bowl. I seem to have a problem finding a good job nowadays, although i haven't quit trying as yet. I dont want to
give up hope but sometimes i just dont feel like taking another breath...but the next moment my eyes blink and my heart aches and my wounds bleed...
blah blah blah..if u get to read this email me...
