mounds and mounds of trash.

Yesterday, I got a call from Ben saying our landlord had been there and was pissed. We had trash in front and behind our house, and Sonny's van is also parked back there. I was at work already so there wasn't much I could do. After work, I had intended to print some posters, but I ended up not. We made hasty plans to clean up the yard late at night. I headed to Baltimore, where I had a show I had booked to attend (and work). The first band was late, but it all worked out before closing. All the bands were good. Cowboys Became Folk Heroes played, and were good and it was fun because they had played the farm 2+ years ago. It was good seeing Evan and Dima. I loaned a guy from Welcome The Plague Year crutches because I happened to have some in my car.

The guy with the keys to the CCAS went to see a movie so I ended up getting stuck there for an hour or so, but then I made it home where Scott and Sonny and I worked on cleaning up the yard so we wouldn't be evicted. We bagged all trash that would fit in a contractor bag, even if it meant breaking up said items so they would fit.

I came up with the idea of driving around and leaving one bag at each house that already had bags out, and also leaving like larger items at places with like items: for example, leaving a pile of wood scraps at a house that had a wood pile out by the street. Of course, this is illegal, so we didn't do that... Of course.

Hopefully we won't get evicted.

The trash disposal ended up being lots of fun. Four or five truck loads, I can't remember which.

Where'd you end up disposing of it?

We also would _never_ consider leaving couches in front of house that already had couches for pick up, or anything of the sort. We obey the laws.

I think I have mostly defused the landlord. Thanks to everyone at the house, who contributed in the clean-up.

Especially big thanks to Scott, who came through in the clutch in a BIG way.

That's Scott's monicker (sp?)... that boy would cross the desert to pull you out of a quicksand trap just as it covered your mouth.

no problemo! it was a fun adventure. well, most of it was. some if it was just plain disgusting. like whatever it was that turned my hands that odd shade of green. i wish we could have weighed how much trash we hauled.

Was it four or five loads?

        Whatever, it was a lot.

The best was when we maniacally pushed that couch over that wall.

and thanks to you for calling and defusing the landlord. although, it would kind of rule to be kicked out before officially moving in. but not really.
