Powerslacking

I can't believe I actually watched Kill Bill, Vol 2 in its entirety this morning at work. No, let's not discuss how that happened to come into my possession, and now that I've viewed it, it's gone. Good movie. Interesting and kickass movie. I kinda wish I'd seen Volume 1 first, though. Heh.

It's amusing that you watched it in a church! (you work at a church, right?)

I thought the irony was delicious. :) Fortunately, I am sequestered in what's known as "the cave" and no one ever comes in here.

wow. ed rawks. i thought i was bad for not only looking at killoggs, but then going the extra step of IMing josh *about* killoggs (slacking times two!), while he was also at work, of course. but you have got me soundly beat.

Normally I wouldn't watch a movie - any move - on work time. Today, I'm sick (again), and feeling like I fell down a flight of stairs means I wasn't much motivated to move.

    I thought he retired?
josh [email] said at 3:29 PM 04-28-2004:
He gets some factual items about what happened in the movie wrong... Not so good.
dave said at 3:34 PM 04-28-2004:
yea he did retire for about a year... i kept checking his site hoping he'd come back, and one day, he did. i noticed that a few things about the movie were wrong in his review, but the rest of the review is so dead on accurate it didn't really bother me. plus he was probably drunk and/or had just gotten beat up when he wrote it.

      Speaking of slacking at work,
anyone know why killoggs isn't banned by b*e*s*s yet? It blocks so many of the links that are posted here, and yet for all it's filth, killoggs itself remains free...and I do hope it stays that way...

Dude, he gave Dawn of the Dead 4 stars, and he also has pretty big factual inaccuracies about the plot of THAT movie. LAME.

you gotta love the combined review of the passion and club dread... boobies or jesus?

I haven't seen 2 yet but most people I know who've seen it say it wasn't as good as the first, and therefore they didn't like 2. But you have objectivity not having seen 1 so I'd be interested to hear more about what you liked about it and why. But, I'm not going to read what you have to say until I've seen it.

I thought 1 was only SLIGHTLY better, but I only enjoyed 1 more after seeing the 2nd. If that makes any sense.
But since it's really one movie just split in half, I don't really think of it in terms of one being better than the other. It was a great movie that just lost a LITTLE BIT of steam after the 1st half.

I think part 2 is way, way, way better than part 1.

It's really hard for me to say. I guess aesthetically I liked the first one better because a lot of it was in Japan, and there were so many great fight scenes.
However, the 2nd one had more characater development and better dialogue and such.
