Happy holiday season friends...It's been a while. Sorry I missed Ben and Josh's visit to the NY. I would have loved to see you two. Josh, thank you for bringing me to NYC my very first time, I am forever in your debt!
So after 3.5 months in New York I am working at Virgin...yeay! -riiiight...on a brighter note I am going to be working at a studio in soho after the new year.

I will be doing sound engineering and part of the production team. This will be project based so I will have to keep another job - damn!
Sometimes I wonder if I should have stayed in Baton Rouge at my nice high paying corporate job, then I get flashbacks of my xboss on one of his tyrades about cultures he has never experienced and the hordes of homogeneous abercrombie &feltch fodder. Needless to say it is refreshing to be in a diverse population.
In the sphere of music, NYC is more than I ever imagined. Working at virgin, I see all the heads come in for plastic crack. I must add that this crack generates 1 store $230K per day on average. Virgin sees more than $1.5M through the registers weekly. In dance music, I am seeing the trends, the commercial cheese of course is selling like crazy. Outkast is truly cross cultural now, everyone buys their album, old, young, purple, orange... they did it and thats the key to selling records...
I hope every one has a good and safe xmas.

Yeah, that means the only new music I hear is on Launchcast, and I have banned rap/hip-hop from my station. I just can't take it. If that makes me old...
