i guess the major news i have to fill you in on is that boobytrap is in negotiations with a record label out of liverpool to cut a record deal. the short story is that, after a really long night of partying one night, a few people ended up at my apartment. one of them was dave pichilingi, co-founder of robot! records, manager of the coral and other bands, and business partner of the amazing tony wilson of factory records fame. well, i was drunk enough to play him our demo and then got him to come to one of our practices while he was in town. 3 weeks later, we get an email saying that a bunch of people in london and liverpool are being won over by our music and they want to work together. a week letter he sends us contracts. we just hired an entertainment laywer this week to negotiate for us. it's not a huge deal or anything. we don't get advance. but we would be able to put out a single and an album, and play some "key shows" in london and the provinces. that in itself is a dream come true. -- Mariela

I'm almost crying with joy. This such amazing news. I'm so happy for her.

Be careful! I was writing an article about a band he was in and most of the stuff he told me was made up rubbish! Toured with Blur etc! Looked into other things and things were not quite what thy seemed. He talks up most things and takes the credit for things others have done.

I wrote an article for publication in a Japanese magazine and it was torn apart by a number of sources (one being Blurs TM) as well as other sources. Made me look foolish!!
