"I don't believe in it. It's bloody impractical to love, honor, and obey. If it weren't, you wouldn't have to sign a contract." - Katherine Hepburn, on marriage
I can't stop wearing my Mr. Furious shirt. I traded one of my Asian Cajun Vegan Cook Zines for it to this woman who had swiped it and many other articles of clothing from a giveaway box of some expensive thrift store. It is the best shirt ever! If you aren't familiar, it is from the great movie, Mystery Men. Oh, by the way, if you want a copy of my Asian Cajun Vegan Cook Zine, send $2 postpaid to me at 1610 Adams Street, New Orleans, LA 70118.

andy [email] said at 2:06 PM 07-31-2003: I gave one to Evan before we even left for tour. I also gave one to his mom, who seemed pretty stoked about it.
michele [email] said at 1:14 PM 07-31-2003: did you know today is harry potter's birthday? jen told me last night. all hell must be breaking out at the children's museum.i hope jen and tricia get out alive!
andy [email] said at 3:01 PM 07-31-2003: I was gonna go, but I fell asleep. I think you-know-who put a spell on me so I couldn't make it. Damn the Dark Forces!
michele [email] said at 8:18 PM 07-31-2003: awww...thanks. if evan lost the one andy gave him, i'll just get another from him. i say give it to erica 'cuz she needs to try some asain/cajun vegan food and she'd probably dig it!
milky [email] said at 2:09 PM 07-31-2003: I have two Mr. Furious promo buttons, and if the image on the shirt is anything like the button, it's gotta rock.
andy [email] said at 2:16 PM 07-31-2003: The image is too big to scan in and I don't have a digital camera, but I assure you it rocks. It just says Mr. Furious off to the side and has a really big image of Mr. Furious down at the bottom of the shirt. He is wearing his goggles and snarling.
rick [email] said at 8:49 AM 08-01-2003: For the longest time, I sported "The Bowler" promotional button on my bookbag. I liked the idea of a literate, sharp-tongued bowler superhero. Of course, it was easy to see through Ms. Garofalo's facade. Had she truly wished to be in character, she would have donned a satin shirt with her name on it.
Killoggs could form a bowling team. Their balls could be white with that beaming face in the logo on them.
milky [email] said at 8:58 AM 08-01-2003: When I got there, all "The Bowler" buttons were oddly absent (not really, I think I know who hogged 'em all). I think she was a cool bowler. Those shirts get in the way if you're a superhero, I'd imagine.
A Killoggs bowling shirt would be interesting. There could be some odd pick-up game combinations.
rick [email] said at 9:06 AM 08-01-2003: Ha! I only took one! I swear!
Anyway, I am glad to hear Andy liked the film. I thought for a long time I was the only person in the Western Hemisphere who liked that film. I think Kim Jong Il is the only person in the Eastern Hemisphere but he is sort of weird so I cannot use him as an endorsement.
andy [email] said at 9:34 AM 08-01-2003: There are others. When I got the shirt in Athens, a guy from a band called Inkephalin was all about it. He said that he watches that movie every night before he goes to bed. He also kept calling me Mr. Furious all night.
milky [email] said at 9:55 AM 08-01-2003: I saw it in the theaters. I was disappointed.
Later, one of my ex-gf's had it on video. I watched it too many times. It was one of those thinks I kept secret (like many other movies I won't ever mention).
The scenes with the Invisible Boy's family always make me laugh my ass off.
