The look like Flash drawings because most drawings in flash use vector based graphics. These were obviously drawn in a vector program like Illustrator or Freehand.

I used to use Fireworks, but I found myself too Adobe dependent, so I stuck to Illustrator, Photoshop and ImageReady, since they all work in conjunction with each other.
