I just woke up from a vivid dream...
In the beginning, I was talking with my dad, I can't remember what about. My mom was redecorating the bathroom downstairs in my parents house. I went down there while it was in progress, and it was real weird and kitschy with like these random bead curtains draped, and two vintage bathroom cabinets on the wall. I decided to fill them full of soaps for guests.
I left the bathroom and went into the yard, and talked to my mom for a minute. I thought about making a cool whip jello pie for Chris, and needing to go to Safeway. Then one of the patients from my job came out of the new bathroom saying something. I went in and looked at the cabinets and there were all these weird vintage lotions and soaps in them, like in 70s cardboard boxes, kind of discolored and greasy. I thought about stealing them for a minute, then I left the bathroom and talked about it's groovy new decour with a fat white man. I went outside and I was in the safeway parking lot. I wanted to make the pie but I realized that I was already 10 minutes late to meeting Chris and I couldn't make a pie and drive home in time. The parking lot was extremely windy, and so I rode around in a shopping cart, propelled in circles by the wind.
As I was about to crash into a curb, Angele called and woke me.
Afterward, I looked at the clock, and I was indeed 10 minutes late calling Chris.
PS. Mastodon plays the Ottobar Thursday night. Mannekin, Chris Taylor (pg99)s rock band, plays in Sunday.

I looked inside and my pictures and my real name were inside and I started to panic. My gf said someone at work gave her the book and she was pretty pissed. Ben drew the cover. I shook in my sneakers and tried to hide the book.
Her hairdryer woke me up. I didn't have the balls to tell anyone this morning or even post about it.

lately i've been having confusing dreams mixing work with my home, believing that i have forgotten a pizza cooking in my bedside table and it is probably burning while i sleep. these are semi-lucid dreams stemming from the fact that i continue to leave pizza crusts in the oven and burn them every day...

When I worked manual labor, I had dreams about sandblasting. Every single night.

We all lived in a big house, that was kinda kitschy and old. The funny thing about it was that there was a big flood a while back and half the house was underwater. This made for a very cool aquarium, heh. Not to mention the indoor pool. ;)
Josh lived in a big room by himself, that was covered in real live dust bunnies (I guess he kept them as pets) and he had a big spa-bathtub that he never used in his bathroom.
We all hung out in the "aquarium room" and played poker. Sometimes people would come/swim by and watch us, like we were in a zoo.
josh [email] said at 11:23 AM 04-02-2002: Your dreams are always pretty weird. I guess mine are too, but I usually only remeber a few central images, never all of them.
evan [email] said at 11:47 AM 04-02-2002: im going to start taking ginko biloba like i said when you were in town. someone i work with says this helps them remember their dreams... we'll see...
Courtney [ url ] said at 2:57 PM 04-02-2002: I once tried to have lucid dreams. I was told to check in with myself every so often during waking hours... asking myself "am I awake or sleeping?" Some people have even made it a habit to pinch themselves every so often as well. The theory is that these habits will follow you into your dreams. I guess the pinching one is more effective since you cannot feel pain in your dreams. So once you are aware of being in a dream, you can control what happens in it.
I remember doing this as a kid, and I was so excited, I made piles and piles of comic books appear. The only problem was that I couldn't read them. There was no text, or it was like being dyslexic.
xmeredithx [email] said at 3:08 PM 04-02-2002: i have lucid dreams. i think it sucks. i'll go through half my day thinking something has happened that really hasn't. or i'll call brandon in the middle of the night to yell at him for peeing on the curtains. or like the time i dreamed me and josh and kara did sex, but we didn't, but i thought we did, and felt all bad about it.
xmeredithx [email] said at 3:15 PM 04-02-2002: can you have hallucinations when you're not using some generating substance? i think my dreams are caused by my meds.
Courtney [ url ] said at 5:42 PM 04-03-2002: It could be your sleep patterns, like kara has mentioned below. People that sleep lighter tend to either remember their dreams more or integrate them into their waking life.
Ooh. Waking Life. Did anyone else see this movie? See it. I dug it.
kara [email] said at 5:05 PM 04-03-2002: I remember most of my dreams, I think it's because I don't sleep very well. Most of them are sexual, but they're often just weird random digestion of recent events.
