A favor from everyone.

Hey. I have a job interview next week for a position as webmaster of a local community college. This is a great job opportunity for me, as they apparently want their entire site redesigned so that it is database-driven as opposed to static HTML... which would be a lot of fun.

So, now we come to the favor. For the next week, please DO NOT post anything too offensive to the main page, links or titles. I will also go into the titles and quotes and vote down anything I think might make me look too bad. After my interview, feel free to vote them back up... I just don't want to blow this job because, when I go to show them my work, projected on a big screen in front of the Dean of the College, there is something they could take out of context.

Also, November 30th is my birthday. I will be 25. This is sort of freaking me out a bit. That's old, or at least it seems old to me. I can take solace in the fact that Marcia is older than me, at least. Anyway, the long and short of it is, if you want, buy me stuff from my wishlist, I'm broke and would love it. Amazon sucks in a lot of ways, so if you don't want to support them, see what's on there, buy it at a better retailer. You don't actually have to buy me anything, sending me a postcard (josh sisk 7209 25th ave adelphi, md 20783) is a fine present, Milky has already sent us one recently (thanks Milk!),. Or even sign up for a $5 a month web site.

nothing offensive? man...

hey josh, is the default for the response sections threaded? if not you should make it threaded. it is annoying when you are reading responses and they don't make any sense and seem out of order then reallize they aren't threaded.
milky [email] said at 11:35 AM 11-20-2001:
So switch from unthreaded to threaded when you wanna respond.

And I'll stop cussin' Josh.

Josh, you have now tumbled into the next standard demographic, 25-34. I just hit 24 a week ago and strangely that is the scariest thing about it for me (leaving what is "capitalistically" considered young).

happy birthday, young thang.

Hey! I'm only a month and a half older than you, jerk! Well, actually, since I smoke, I may be more like...5 years older than you. But I betcha I have sex more often than you, so that shaves a few years off. Regardless, we were both born in 76. You're aging Josh. You're an a-dult. (hysterical laughter) Don't worry, my mental breakdown only lasted 3 weeks. I'm sure you'll be all right. Maybe. (more hysterical laughter).

Is this the same job posting I sent you? If you end up with a job offer, you owe me a small % of your salary or a $500.00 finders fee! Good luck!

It is and I was already planning on buying you a nice bottle of wine or something, if I got it. Thanks for the tip.
