Ten Questions

1. Have any of you left a date? Like, just walked out or escaped (counting high school).
2. Stole tips or misrepresented tips at a bar?
3. Taken a date to break up with someone, only waiting until after they paid for dinner to do so?
4. Threw something hard at someone while they weren't looking?
5. Vandalized someone's car?
6. Stolen change out of someone's place (couch diving counts)?
7. Lied to a kid in order to scare the bejesus out of them, for kicks?
8. Started a rumor about someone?
9. Jacked toys as a kid?
10. Actually watched a Superbowl?

Feel free to elaborate or EMBELLISH (yeah, you know who you are) as you see fit.

1. a few times: in high school went out to folsom lake to go swimming with a boy i been dating a week. he refuses to get in the water because he doesn't want to get his (perfectly coiffed) hair wet, actually has a hissy fit about it. he had a long walk home from the lake.

more recently: set up on a blind date with a yuppie from hell pre-dotcom bust, oh-so-hip 40something. he kept hopping out of his chair in the painfully trendy restaurant he had selected to check on his Z3 parked curbside. after he left the table for the 4th time in 30 minutes, i wasn't at the table when he returned. his car sounded like a honda on the freeway too.
2-6: no
7. not quite, but in 2nd grade me and a few other girls talked this tag-along boy to crawl inside a dog cage. we were all playing "houdini" to see if we could escape the cage thorough daring feats of agility. anyway, he got inside, we put balanced an open milk carton onto of the cage and ditched him. saw him in class after recess covered in milk. oops.
8. i hear milky went to school with me in 2nd grade
9. god help me, i used to shoplift tropical fish, not toys. was about 8 or 9, rigged up this elaborate set up of folding nets, plastic bags (this was decades before ziplocks too, i was dealing with those lame lick, fold and tuck sandwich baggies) and fishfood to lure the fish up to the top of the tank.
10. i used to tape it and then FFD through it to watch the commercials. now i just go here

5 percent bay had the best sand and buoys marking out a huge non-motorized water sport area. granite bay was ok but had a rocky beach and lots of boat launches. i havent been there in 20 years or so, maybe its gotten grungy and unswimmable.

i spent most of my time in the american river since folsom was a much longer schlep from carmichael.

5. yes
6. only the 'rents
7. no
8. yes, I like to write things on bathroom walls

1. no. i've been on very few "dates" that were acknowledged as such

2. no, but me and nathan stole this dumb guy's $10 bill from in front of him in that velvet elvis bar in Athens. that guy sucked though. i also remember finding $20 in church when i was a kid. my dad made me put it in the collection basket. That's when I learned to keep my mouth shut when it comes to mischief.

3. i don't think so. maybe. again, dates aren't really planned events for me.

4. ha ha ha. of course. i used to have this real addiction to going up to my little brother while he was on the phone and hitting him upside the head with a plastic half gallon container of milk (with the cap on). i don't know why. it was just fun and random. we used to also go up to my sister while she was preoccupied with something else and hand her pancake syrup. i don't know why. it was just funny watching her standing there holding syrup without even realizing it.

5. i threw a live fish in someone's car once. does that count?

6. couch change is hard not to steal. it's such a discovery no matter whose couch it is. i used to know this guy who would come over and steal change from my floor while i was sleeping too. geez. what a weirdo. my real addiction is stealing pens though. pens. pens. pens. pens. i would kill you for a nice pen.

7. i've lied to many many kids. especially during summer camp. how can you not lie to kids?

8. my girlfriend is a hermaphrodite and my best friend kills puppies.

9. i remember stealing all sorts of things when i was a kid. i used to like that "wow. this is soooo sketchy" rush as i walked out the door. the rush is kinda gone now. too bad.

10. i definitely watched the superbowl of the bears vs. the patriots when they played in the superdome cos that shit was bad ass. how could you not watch it after hearing "the superbowl shuffle" (yes, you can download it). i think i was even refridgerator perry for halloween that year. ha ha ha ha ha.

no on all except 7 and 8. I've lied to kids to scare them for fun. and I start rumors about myself all the time. oh, and I think trolling counts as a yes for both.

I seem like a boy scout, but I also hate paramilitary organizations. the end.

milky [email] said at 6:26 PM 11-08-2001:
It wasn't that paramilitary (talysman's quoting 'Red Dawn'). We dressed like weiners!

      said at 3:04 AM 11-09-2001:
actually, never read red dawn. I think a couple different people have pointed out the pseudomilitary nature of the boy scouts (if you prefer that term.)

I was in cub scouts, but I gave up on that by the time I should have joined weeble-Os. it *was* pretty weiner-y.

oh, and I once read an excerpt from one of the original scout manuals by lord baden-baden or whatever his name was... it was a big long antimasturbation tirade that was an obvious inspiration for the "precious bodily fluids" speech in doctor strangelove.
