I thought long and hard about my very first Killoggs post. I decided to ask the following. Why does it take my wife thirty-five minutes to "get ready" for bed. I reach a save spot on Tomb Raider and crawl to bed leaving a trail of shoes, pants, shirt, boxers. Asleep in ten seconds. She disappears behind a closed bathroom door for the better part of an hour and when she comes out she looks exactly the same as when she went in. Is this a girl thing? And what exactly happens behind that door?

We are turning off all the lights you left on, and the tv, and picking up your dishes, and those clothes you took off on the way to the bed, and letting the dogs out, and feeding the cat, and tucking you in because you forgot to lay on the bed straight so we could also fit.

i also like some quiet time. and since the bf likes to sleep with a fan on even in the middle of winter i run my toes under extremely hot water till i can get them under piles of covers.

mary said at 9:49 PM 05-14-2001: My guess is he is: turning off all the lights Kara left on, and the tv, and picking up her dishes, and those clothes she took off on the way to the bed, and letting the dogs out, and feeding the cat, and tucking her in because she forgot to lay on the bed straight so he could also fit.

Where'd Clay go? It's the opposite here...my gf is in bed in 15 mins but won't get OUT of bed until the last min, of which there is 35 mins of doing stuff.
And why does it take me (who works down the street from my apt) LONGER to get ready?
Milky said at 3:07 PM 11-14-2002: LOL...I have short hair now. I think it's shaving that slows me down...taking it easy on the numb parts of my chin and the scar tissue on my throat. Slows me down a bit.
Emmaleigh said at 4:30 PM 11-14-2002: It's been observation that even guys w/ only 1/2 inch of hair or less will still spend 30 mins or more primping and fluffing their hair. tip: wash and go.
Milk said at 4:33 PM 11-14-2002: No, seriously, it takes me a long time to shave now. i wash, use gel, comb it back and leave. my hair is the last thing. NOW, it used to take FOREVER. Not now.
Milk said at 4:43 PM 11-14-2002: Angelica, knock it off ;)
My hair gel takes 5 mins MAX, my shaving gel takes 20 mins at the LEAST.
Now facial cleansers in the evening...WHOLE 'NOTHER STORY. I take my time. I lotion my body, my hands, my feet. Exfoliate in the shower. Just clean goodness.
