Do you remember the cartoon he did with those displaced gymnanists? I heard that he was the MC for a techno party in New Orleans a long while back.

He's spokesman for of those annoying 10-10-3232 long distance deals now. Plus he had cancer.

Have you seen him in that really funny new Lipton noodles commercial? In it, he's married to Loni Anderson and George Hamilton and Mary Lou Retton are their kids. It filled me with guffaws.

I think the cartoon would have been better if T and the gymnasts had been lost in time. And if the dog could talk. And if they thought it was "time" they were lost in, but it was really "thyme"...

I remember once at the reveille one night I was making a house ad. It was a killoggs mugshot version of mr. T saying "I pity the fool who drops out of school." They didn't want to run it cos they said "NOBODY REMEMBERS WHO MR.T IS!!!!" What the fuck? I think they ran it anyway. I have this "read along with me in your book" Mr. T set with the gymnastics kids. It's bizarre. The 80's idea of elaborate crime schemes is just insane...

We have this VHS tape of really old Christmas specials from waythfuck a long time ago. Most of the specials are painful to watch, but the commercials are priceless. There's one one of Mr. T and the Dynamic Team of gymnasts trying to pawn off T shaped cheerios to the youth of America. They were so culturally sensitve back then...the gymnasts, while horrible drawn and very stereotypical, were multiracial. In the commercial they all stretched their arms out to look like a T and then did various gymnastics moves into the giant bowl of cereal. If I remember correctly their slogan was Teamin' up with Mr. T. But whatever it was, when they sang on the cereal jingle it sounded like they were saying "Doin' it with Mr. T." Quality stuff, indeed. In fact, just yesterday, I had the opportunity to watch part of an A-Team episode featuring a special guest appearance by the one and only "Hulkster." The brief portion of the show I saw was riddled with red "Hulkamania" muscle shirts stretched taut by swollen, beer bellies of balding men.

One of them. Each one works a little differently, but all orchestrate together to do the best job possible.
