Last week I decided that this week I would start drinking coffee.
So I have a cup of coffee here.
I feel kind of good but I don't know if it's the coffee. Plus doesn't coffee stain your teeth?
I'm really pressed about my teeth.
I might just feel good because of all the plants.
Yesterday I planted an herb garden! Thinking about it makes me happy. How odd.. it's been so long since I've done real gardening of any kind. I planted an onion in my apartment a few weeks ago and I like to watch it grow.
Now I want to get a lot of plants for the apartment.
A girl at work brought in a bunch of Impatiens from her parents' greenhouse. I'm going to take this one home and try my best to keep it alive.
I love gardening but I don't think I'm that great at it.
Anyway, I planted an herb garden in my gentleman friend's back yard. It feels like a very commitment-y thing for a skeptic like me to do. But the plants will be there when I'm gone, whether they flourish or wither. Ha.
At the awesome crawfish boil I met Ben & Kim's friend Rose. She made a potato salad with dill she'd grown. She was a very sweet person and I excitedly told her how I was planning to plant some basil and rosemary when I left Ben's that very evening. She adored my fresh mint ice cream, and I happily left the last carton with her.
Her boyfriend somehow brought up the British television show "The League of Gentlemen," which I loved and had forgotten all about. He'd found taped of it at a thrift store. I liked that show.
Crawfish Boil June 2K7 was a smashingly spicy success on a most splendid summer day.
