There really was a baby in there after all!
Mary asked me to let you guys know:

Irene was born at 4:30 pm yesterday, the 9th of December. She weighs 8 pounds, 5 ounces, is a whopping 21 inches long, and has the chubbiest cheeks in the hospital.

Mommy and baby are doing better every day. She'll update everyone when she can, but she asked me to post this to quell any speculation. I'm pleased to report that she has a great shock of dark, dark hair, and greatly resembles her father's baby pictures.

She's a stubborn little girl ... I wonder where that comes from?

What's the Killoggs baby count at now, 5? They should all rumble, once they get older.

The new Nas album is pretty fucking good! I would say it's his best album since Stillmatic. There is nothing as bracing as "Ether" and nothing as catch as "Made You Look", but there is also very few outright clunkers (a rarity for Nas) - except for an annoying song with Kanye West (who I am pretty tired of, both his production and his vocals) the whole album is decent. It's also pretty wistful, and not very thugged out. Most of the songs are questioning the modern state of hip-hop, or looking back into hip-hop history.

Standout tracks for me are: Black Republicans (with Jay-Z), Hustlers (with the Game), Can't Forget About You (with Chrisette Michele, who I'd never heard of until she also guested on the new Jay-Z, so she must be some new Def Jam artist), and of course the title track, which is slightly different than mixtape version which leaked a few weeks ago.

If you are even a casual Nas fan, this is worth picking up. I've been rocking this and the new Clipse record (Dirty Money! Dirty Money!) pretty constantly for the last week.
