The World's Greatest Website

I was searching for some old poem I liked as a teenager and I found this site where gentlemen pretend they're batman. It's really the best website in the world. Here's an excerpt:

"
I push Dana out of the way and take the hit to the ground. I rise to my feet.

"Stalker!" I say in my batman voice. "So you come for your trophy?"

"Yes I have Batman," The Stalker replies. He extends his pole and swats at my head. I duck quickly and flip towards Dana.

"Come on where is it?" I ask myself. I reach into my back pocket and find some gas balls. "Sorry Dana!" I whip a gas ball at her face sending her peacefully asleep to the ground.

I do a backflip and land on the roof of the new Dodge Viper GTS. (( OOC: I love cars)) "In case you haven't noticed. The Bat is not here." I playfully taunt. I bend on my knees and launch at him full speed turning a sphere into a drop kick. The Stalker bashes into a steel pole.

I take his head and bash his head against the steel pole several times. Thinking I have the advantage I take a short while to catch my breath.

The Stalker quickly counters with a roundhouse kick to my face. I am sent straight to the ground.

I carefully climb to my feet. I clumbsily reach for one of the remaining gas balls.

"

Seeking Material

Hey, so, I've got some free time on my hands now. More than usual anyway. So, I'm beefing up my monolouge selection. Or attempting to. I'm looking for stuff to read that perhaps I can pull monologues from.

So I'm asking you, Killoggers, have you ever read a play or film script or maybe even a book if there's a lot of dialogue where you really were moved by one of the characters? Or several of them? If there was a moment that made you laugh out loud or made you angry or sad or just feel 'wow, I really identify with where that guy/girl is coming from,' then I want to read it. I'm having a hard time finding material that evokes some feeling. I don't care if the character is male or female as long as it's not impossible to transpose, the piece I'm working on right now was stolen from a guy character.

Any suggestions would be great. Hey, I used a monolouge from a Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode for a loooong time and had a lot of success with it. I just used the episode title when I introduced it and did it my own way instead of imitating the way it was done on the show.

So even if you're like, "Well, I don't remember what it was, but I read this play a long time ago and it made me cry." If it's a film or t.v. show, it just has to be a tiny bit obscure and something that's not that's-only-cool-when-Clint-Eastwood-does-it.

I am into all suggestions and will check them out with gusto. Thanks in advance.
