So if you read my recent journal entry, you might have read about how Ben drunkenly punched me in the face a few times saturday night (unprovoked, I might add) and I had to put in in a sleeper hold to stop him from punching me more.

Well, yesterday and today I was noticing some strange vision issues, and I went to the opthamologist. It turns out that the "gel membrane" inside my eye has detached from the lining and is now just sort of chilling inside my eye. This isn't a life-altering problem, as this happens to many people as they age, or get head trauma. It is inconvienent, distracting, and, this morning at least, a bit scary.

What does it mean? Well, now I have several dark black spots in my vision, and a line which i can only describe as what it looks like when you watch a movie and there is a piece of hair in on the projector lens... a black line that moves and jumps across my field of vision. Luckily, this is only in my right eye.Unfortunately, it is directly "in front" of me, though the doctor says it very well may sink down over time.

Luckily, my retina is intact - but as this condition can be a precursor to a retinal detachment, I need to go back in a month and get a retina check up. Also if I notice more floaters or bright flashes, I need to go in immediately, as those are symptoms of a detachment.

One good thing I discovered is that my health insurance is REALLY GOOD... I managed to get a opthamologist appointment same day, and no co-pay.. though they might bill me, I suppose.

So yeah, don't get drunk and punch people in the eye, kids.
