"Hey, look at City Mouse. He's trying to escape! Its so cute!" Every night after I dim the lights, he gets busy, and I was calling Abby into my room to see.
"Oh look there's a little mouse in here!" Abby shouted back from her room. I came to the doorway, she turned on the light, and we saw that her mouse was actually a gigantic roach.
We shreiked with terror.
The roach crawled into a corner, onto a pair of underwear.
We continued to scream, and shiver with disgust, while Abby paced around and gathered up the momentum to smash the roach.
She put on a pair of white boots and kicked at the pile of laundry. "If he's under that towel, he's not dead." I declared, and lifted up the towel delicately.
Keeping her body as far from her boot as possible, she smashed the roach into the underwear and then threw the roach panties into a plastic bag.
"Maybe we'll see a mouse in the kitchen," I said as we walked into the kitchen to put the plastic bag into the trash. Every time I've stepped in there lately, I've seen mice scurring around the corners of the room. I turned on the light, and I squealed, "Eeeeee!", as I saw another roach duck between the sink and the stove.
We threw roach baits into every corner of the apartment, but I didn't sleep well.

I need new music. Now. I'm having so much trouble finding some new bands to listen to. Each time I think I'm onto something, I check out an album and it sounds nothing like the first song or two that I'd heard. I thought the Black Eyed Peas would finally do it, and Elephunk is a really great album, but I don't want mellow. I want heart-pounding, blow-your-head-off funk. Maybe I need to compile a Best of George Clinton CD or something. Less electric is great too. Paul Simon used to get the same feeling across with an acoustic (see: 1970's). A full, rich sound, and great rhythm with some changes.

But there must be some modern equivalent. Any ideas? At least half the album should be in the same vein as Retarded. The kind of songs that don't sound right at less than full volume. The kind of songs that make you forget your car has a speedometer.

so last night i just couldn't seem to get the comic idea i was working on to come together. i actually went through a few of them, but it was the first night in months where i really didn't feel like drawing and also couldn't get it straight.

so then i made a comic which i knew they wouldn't run because it was making fun of all the porn ads on the same page (which is basically about the only thing that's a big no no - can't make fun of the paid avertisers!) ...but yeah, it's here.

i had to resort to running an old fappy though last minute. i'm just happy to have it finished. this one hasn't run yet, but i imagine a lot of you guys have already seen it. it seems to hold up for people who have never read it before tho...
