gifts 2k5

Yesterday I received a belated birthday present from my little sister. She didn't spend very much money, but it was one of the best gifts I've ever received because it was totally unexpected and something I can definitely use--running socks and candy. Buying/making gifts for people you really care about is one of the harder things to do, and usually for people who aren't considered "highly organized", this task seems nearly impossible, especially when the recipient either only wants/needs things that are of a high monetary value or is very practical and seems to have everything they need.

Thanks little sister.

What 2 Do?

So after buying a ticket to see Bloc Party in June at the 9:30 Club I find out that they'll be opening for the Pixies when they come to town that same week. So since I now have Pixies tickets should I sell the ticket to see Bloc Party since I'm going to see them anyway? Or should I just keep the ticket and see 'em twice?

I have a feeling that BP's sound is probably better suited for a smaller indoor venue like 9:30. Still, that's fifteen bucks I could get back into my pocket (and use for the LCD Soundsytem/M.I.A. tix that go on sale next week...man, all of a sudden this is turning into a Gen post!)

Suggestions? (And if I do decide to sell the ticket does anybody here want it?)
