So I'm going to Spain in March with my mom, and it's the first time I've been to Europe. Has anyone got any tips for Barcelona & Madrid, or even just in general? Things to do besides the obvious things (i.e. seeing the Gaudi stuff and going to the Prado Museum) ?

i succeeded in doing relationship comics for the last 5 weeks. and i'm just about sick of them. i'll be happy to tackle other subjects. i'm glad i pulled it off for the most part tho.

So I've been the victim of an academic slighting. Research that I did at my undergraduate school has been published without my name on it. Here is the paper. I spent an entire semester working on this fucking thing and then it gets published over half a year later without my goddamn moniker on it.

I'm fairly certain that this was unintentional. My professor is pretty absent minded. Though I do get a certain satisfaction at looking at the screen shots and seeing that the students who took over improved nothing over my model.

The only reason that I am extra-pissed is that I am as-of-yet unpublished and this was published at the most respected conference in surgical simulation. It's only a three page paper, but it's better than what I've got. Bah. I should have two of my own by the end of this semester, so fuck it.

What is the best email service? Hotmail is garbage.

JAY BEAT KARA'S ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In case you haven't watched Bravo's show, "Project Runway" like I have let me just say that it just ended sooooo you kind of missed the boat. BUT you would be glad to know that even though the judges did not let my beloved designer, Austin, make it to the final 3 designers, I understand their reasons why, he did in fact not listen to their instructions for each project and continued to make frou frou dresses the whole time, BUT weren't they spectacular?!?! It is obvious he was a wonderful designer. Perhaps some more guidance?

Anyway!! I began to not enjoy seeing Kara win all the time and her fucking attitude about it, began to really come out in the last episode tonight. I'm sorry, but if you sign a contract saying that you agree to not have any of your line given to you free or made for you as a favor then that's it, case closed. Don't try to wiggle your way out of it by saying, "But the others got access to the free Michael Kors shoes." I'm sure, so did you! They didn't get to get free specificically designed shoes to their own line though!!!! Wendy did turn bitter in the end, and obviously competition does not bring out the best in her, but she was RIGHT ON THE MONEY. When Jay thinks you are wrong, you are wrong dude.

When it was time to show their lines...it was easy

Kara - shoes didn't count because of her contract problem, two models tripped on the dresses, theme worked well but was so "classic" and i wasn't into the aviator hat at all (just me)

Wendy - no theme, she must have forgotten, pretty clothes, but you have to have a theme, and that hurt her, which sucked because i wanted her to do well, despite her odd nastiness in the end

Jay - Excellent creativity!!, I don't care about the judges comments about the outfits being all one color i thought it worked for the turquoise and the hot pink piece (which were both STUNNING). as far as the casual look though, i was surprised, i though he would go slightly more dressy...the furry boots and mod sweater thing is over...that i didn't get. I still haven't gotten over his Chrystler building dress!!

overall - austin had the most beautiful designs, heidi klum is annoying as hell, and i would definitely look up wendy, jay, kara, and austin to see what they are designing in the future.
