i just wanted to post

i havent posted for a long time. so i thought i would. it's really rainy here in AZ. im so glad the holidaze is over. i hate all holidays. they all suck. i got napoleon dynamite for christmas and it was kinda funny. i watched the whole thing then i watched it again with commentary and it was even funnier because the director and the guys making it were just saying over and over, " oh that really happened to us" or " yeah we used to really do that all the time" or" yeah that person was really great. they are a close friend of the family" its like the whole thing was autobiographical which made it really sad and funny at the same time. yesterday we ate this bacon turkey ham sub from long wong's and it was AWESOME!!!

I think I'm in love with a magazine

Well fuck's sake.

I just finished a free copy of Bitch Magazine that I got from the Circle of Life Foundation's Concert. That's Julia Butterfly Hill's outfit, if you didn't know. No, really, I'm from California and we don't make shit like that up.

Every feature article was smart, compelling, and made me think
A: I've thought that!
B: I never thought of that!
C: Why didn't I think of that!
D: Damn. I gotta show this to ________.

Now I have to tear it up so I can give each article to the three _______'s.

PS: They operate out of Oakland!!!!
PPS: Fuck you Bibbly.
PPPS: Just watched the Sopranos season 2 scene where Christopher does the "Conversation with no words" exercise in his acting class.
And the other guy goes: "A."
And Christopher proceeds to beat the shit out of him. I've seen it 5 times and I still laughed out loud.

Thanks for the water, Julie.

I would've had a pretty rough morning without it.

new year's resolutions

in no order:

1) Spend at least an hour reading a book every day.

2) Write something every day.

3) Start painting again (goddammit)

4) Crank out songs for the band Ben and I are putting together.

5) Learn Dreamweaver and put up a website

6) Be more assertively social.

7) Buy a digital camera

8) Manage my time better.

9) Make more screen designs for t-shirts.

10) Buy a new wardrobe (of course, this would mostly consist of t-shirts and a few new pairs of jeans)

11) Excercise, at least 4 days a week, just enough to stay toned

12) Travel. Anywhere.

13) Make women swoon. Everywhere.

socks and flipflops living in harmony

hi, all! so, the husband and i (man, that still sounds weird) are getting the 8-year itch, and are thinking of trying to move abroad. (i say this at the risk of sounding like every other mid-20s person i know.) basically, i always promised myself i'd teach english abroad for a year, and now that i am half of a we, we gotta go soon or i'll never do it.

japan seems a little scary, what with that nutty picto-language and all, but it seems to have good exchange programs. and i don't want to end up digging latrines in south america.

anybody else do this or know someone who did? recommendations? horror stories?
