proud to be an AMERICAN

If tomorrow all the things were gone,
I’d worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.

I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today.
‘ Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

From the lakes of Minnesota,
to the hills of Tennessee.
Across the plains of Texas,
From sea to shining sea.

From Detroit down to Houston,
and New York to L.A.
Well there's pride in every American heart,
and its time we stand and say.

That I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

And I’m proud to be and American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

brad

so how well do we really know you?

I copy and pasted my answers to this from MySpace:

Welcome to the fall 2004 edition of getting to know your friends. What you are supposed to do is copy (not forward) this entire e-mail and paste it onto a new e-mail that you'll send. Change all the answers so they apply to you, and then send this to a whole bunch of people including the person who sent it to you.

The theory is that you will learn a lot of little things about your friends, if you did not know them already!

1. What time do you get up? 9:30

2. If you could eat lunch with one famous person, who would it be?
Hmm... maybe Ethan Coen, but he's relatively low-profile. As for high profile, maybe Bill Murray

3. Gold or Silver? Silver

4. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? Saw (Horrible movie, but great for heckling, and the audience was very amusing too)

5. What is your favorite TV show? I Love the 80s -- that one guy from The State is fucking hilarious!

6. What do you have for breakfast? A muffin and black tea

7. Who would you hate to be stuck in a room with? Louie Anderson

8. What/who inspires you? Boldness, originality, honesty

9. What is your middle name? James

10. Beach, City, or Country? City

11. Favorite ice cream? Haagen Dahz white chocolate and raspberry chocolate truffle

12. Butter, plain or salted popcorn? Movie popcorn, no butter

13. Favorite color? It depends on what's wearing the color, but I think brown is very underrated

14. What kind of car do you drive? Ford Contour (nicknamed the Ford Detour) -- it's a piece of shit

15. Favorite sandwich? Tough choice, but maybe a New Orleans style Muffalatto

16. What characteristic do you despise? Insincerity

17. What is your favorite flower(s)? Sunflowers: probably the most other-worldly flower: THEY'RE HUGE!

18. If you could go anywhere in the world on a vacation, where would you go? Mexico, Germany, Alaska... (I've never been outside the country, unless you count Tijuana)

19. What color is your bathroom? A combination of very drab colors

20. Favorite brand of clothing? HAHAHAHAHA!

21. Where would you like to retire? I haven't even begun to think about that, and you shouldn't either.

22. Favorite day of the week? Saturday

23. Where did you go for your last birthday? I honestly don't remember

24. Where were you born? Louisiana

26. Who do you least expect to send this back to you? Ben Claassen

27. Person you expect to send it back first? Jen Derr

28. What fabric detergent do you use? Whatever my roommate bought for us

29. Coke or Pepsi? On ice: Coke, in a can: Pepsi

30. Are you a morning person or a night owl? Night owl, but it feels great to get up early and have lots of things done by mid-day

31. What is your shoe size? 11

32. Do you have any pets? No, but I think cats get a bad rap and are often misunderstood

33. What is your least favorite trait about yourself? I'm too damn shy

34. What is your most favorite trait about yourself? TIE: I'm pretty creative when I get off my lazy ass, and I'm very genuine

35. Who has influenced you more than anyone else? I don't know... probably some dead guy

It's November, the election is over, some of us are toturing ourselves with NaNoWriMo.

What's next?

Mmboy. Turkey Soda time!

Are you all going home for the holidays? Who will you be visiting?
