Monster Networking

So, you know, I'm looking for a job these days and I signed up with monster.com. Apparently, they have this thing called "Monster Networking" where it's suppose to put you in contact with people who have the same intrest or career goals as yourself. Well, "Monster Networking" seems to think me and this woman should "network".

I bet we do have a lot in common. She's a CLUB GUEST/VIP AGENT. I bet we could really further each others careers. Way to go, your the Monster!

PDA and mammoth titties.

Yesterday I went to see Flowers In The Attic play at the Treeswing. The show was kind of low-key, and technical difficulties made me not able to take pictures, which bummed me out. I almost didn't want to go out after, but I decided to and went to meet up with my friend Meredith who was at DC9 hanging out with Andy, Tom & Tom's wife whose name I can never recall.

From the moment I sat down -even before I sat down- Meredith and the others were laughing. Meredith remarked that I was being forced to sit in "that" seat. I was confused and said "I don't get it, what's so bad about-" Then I saw it. At the table across from me, a couple were trying to sit together on one side of a booth made for two people to sit across from each other.

And I also saw the titties.

This woman was wearing a Britney-inspired flowing blouse number that clung very loosely to her (generous in several respects) frame. The lowest point dipped to almost her navel, and with the slightest movement, the fabric would waft away from her chest, giving us all a view that was more than necessary. And the titties in question were large, and strangely immobile themselves- I'm assuming that they were implants.

Seriously, they sat on her chest like gnomes perched atop toadstools. Every so often she would take the "wings" of her blouse and shake them, as if her breasts needed to take a breather. I refered to this at our table as "airing out them things".

Meredith posited that this woman was a hooker, by I don't think so. I was propositioned by a hooker on the way to DC9, incidentally, who asked me if I had "a wife, old lady, or girlfriend" - why is that the line that gets used the most by hookers? Anyway, this woman wasn't really dressed like one. The shirt, yes, and the implants - questionable. But she was also wearing blue jeans and sneakers, and that just doesn't scream hooker to me. The guy she was with was dressed like he just came from the gym, so I think they were probably college students. My theory on her get up is that she had recently gotten her implants and wanted to make the most of them.

Anyway, her and her paramour proceeded to basically dry hump at this booth throughout the whole evening - stopping every so often to send and receive text messages - until their friends showed up and they finally got up to leave.

Afterwards, we got candy at the 7-11 were crazy stuff always happens to me, but nothing did. Then we went back to Andy's and ate the candy. I had a Snickers Ice Cream Bar. Then I went home.

Forging A Busy Summer

Doing things for no reason. I guess there's not much reason for anything, ever.
I saw Farenheit 9/11 alone on Monday.
Tuesday was Rachel Dwiggins' birthday. We went to Holy Frijoles and I had several drinks... of water. Then this guy Jeff that I know was trying really hard to hit on this girl Kim, who wasn't havin it. I felt bad for Jeff but he's obnoxious.
Last night Never Enough & The Spark was fun. Rockin.
Tonight I am going to see Municipal Waste. I don't care that it costs a million dollars, I don't really drink much these days, so that's money I otherwise would have spent on beer.
Tomorrow I am going to see Ken Stringfellow down in VA. Ken Stringfellow, from the Posies. His solo stuff is OK.
Saturday morning I am going to NYC with no particular plans. Mozying around. Meeting up with some people, like my sassy latin dominatrix friend Angelina, and the always overwhelming Amber.
I am going to an art show, flier below.

Who knows what else I will get into. Might be mundane. I don't care.

Next Tuesday I have a dinner date with this guy Chris then we're meeting up with Carla to go to a movie.
Chris and I have a list of places to go eat, and we are planning on knocking them out one by one, each week.
Tuesday is Little Italy. Then the movie... Napoleon Dynamite.

Wednesday through Friday I am working in DC. I think I might just stay down there the whole time, especially since Pig Destroyer is not playing the Ottobar on Thursday. Apparently they cancelled months ago, but I only noticed this yesterday.

The weekend of the 31st - I am having some family time, I think.

Aug 2nd - The Fiction

I like having all these plans.

Is it rocket science?

Dear whatever jackass made my bean burrito at Taco Bell when I stopped there on the way home from a birthday party,

There is NO LETTUCE in a bean burrito.

Luckily for you, I drove thru, because if I'd have been sitting in the dining room when I got a mouthful of lettuce upon sinking my teeth into the beany, cheesy, oniony goodness, you would have rued the day. RUED it, I say!

Sincerely,
Ed
