I had a really great weekend. On Friday night, despite abandoning my maid outfit and sleeping until almost midnight in high heels and full makeup, I did go out, with Josh and Carla, to Fraziers and then a party.
I have met some really cool people this week, through the collective help of Carla, Josh, beer, and myspace.
A sweet girl named Mary who is witty and kind - I hope to know her better, and I'd love for her to join Carla and I for shopping or shenanigans sometime soon. I met Mod Dave, the man behind
ninjagirls.net, who immediately impressed me with smarts and an outlook on life aligned with my own.
Saturday morning, Carla and I strolled to the Harbor, and into the land of food court, free samples, frozen custard, hustle and bustle. I bought myself a brand spanking new purse. Satchel even. In Fells Point she showed me the elusive Unicorn Earrings. I need to find the design so that I can sculpt a pair myself, and save Carla $30 on something that must be hers.
After she headed to work, I spent some time behind the counter at Reptilian, lingering around just like old times, harassing the employees. After just a few minutes there, I felt comfortable again, like no time had passed at all since Tony had banned me from touching the pricing gun three years ago. Mark Rigby even made an appearance.
The walk home was pleasant and thoughtful, thanks to my beloved Discman and mix CDs of fury. I made it just in time to meet up with Josh and Erica.
We hopped in his car and trucked on up to York.
Baroness, Medic, Exosus and Triac were all great. I was enjoying myself despite the onset of some menstrual crampage. Stupid uterus. At least I don't have some used car salesman's baby.
By the time Swarm of the Lotus, who are an awesome band, came on, I had just had my fill of metal mania. I listened from outside, and made aquaintence with the dudes from Clancy Six.
We all went to this place called "The White Rose," and mocked this awful cover band. But the Yuengling was ice cold.
We never did get food before heading home, with Blake in tow. He chattered in the back seat until we dropped him off on Calvert Street.
Sunday was lazy and fulfilling, walking with Erica around Bolton Hill, trying to get the spyware off of my computer. My only mistake was going to bed too early.
Now, on to the negative.
Despite managing to start crawling out of the pit I've been stuck in, my new manager at work is making my life miserable with her half-witted attempts at improving things that don't need approved...
I guess I'd rather be miserable at work than in "real life," but the negative energy carries over.
Speaking of work, I guess I should get back to it. I have some more questions about negative energy... I'm waiting for Carla to log onto IM so I can exchange theories with her. Maybe Oona Goosepimple will have some advice for me.
