wow! loren has the best toys. i love san francisco. so much to do, so much to do. i met robert williams yesterday at the ape show. that was weird. i remember the first time i saw one of his paintings down at eastside records and i really got a boner because it was so badass. we went to the sci fi western show at 111minna gallery which was rilly cool! but it sucked because the robert william paintings were prints. that was dumb. the rest of the art was cool though. i saw a todd schor painting, a clayton bros painting an elizabeth mcgrath crab, umm... and other paintings. my favorite was bwana spoons though as usual. ok everyone is finally awake time to go cause trubble.

*twitch*

Lately, I've been drinking a lot more coffee than I used to.

I guess it's understandable, since I didn't really feel the need for a nice hot cuppa java when I was living and working in Hawaii. The constantly warm weather doesn't really lend itself to coffee drinking, except when you're indoors in really freezing air conditioned air.

Maybe it's something about this quarter at school. I have classes in the morning instead of evening for this winter quarter. I'm definitely not a morning person, and have required assistance in the whole waking up process. I figured, a single cup of coffee will do me fine, I'll take it to class in my stainless steel travel mug and partake in it whilst driving and pondering over the morning's lecture. Lemme tell you, this stuff helps me big time, but it hasn't really justified itself as a bad habit or addiction yet.

Should I quit while I'm ahead?

I mean, heck, it could be worse. Caffeine isn't a bad thing to be addicted to... or is it?

Then again, being addicted to caffeine *is* a trademark of geeks everywhere. I wouldn't want to let my people down.

Money Pit

I bought a house Friday.

It's in D.C., in Brookland, which is near Catholic University.

Rick lives in my basement. He has his own bathroom. He can leave the toilet seat up all the time.

I share the top floor with a girl named Rachel. We share a bathroom. Which I intend to paint "hot pank" in a few weeks.

I met both of my roommates on the Internet.

The house is in good shape, but I have to replace my funky old galvanized pipes with copper or my insurance company will be very cross with me.

Plumbers are expensive. At least my plumber is a cutie.
