Three the Hard Way

I do two hour long sets on a treadmill every day in order to establish some sort of physical activity and posture. The cool thing is the natural endorphin high I get doing it which I enhance using aromatherapy. I can't believe I've already converted to tofu pups and Boca burgers so quickly. Alcohol was given up for lent, along with cigarettes.

Why the health kick? I did seven years of good, solid damage to my body and I'd like to repair it.

This weekend we will trek to Austin to see 'Skratch.' I managed to also score tickets to a sold out Spurs v. Lakers game at the Alamo Dome next month.

Still no job, but life is good.

Postcards, buttons, stickers. yum yum yum.

Hey. Does anyone know where the cheapest place to get postcards printed is? I want to get 5 different designs made, but I want around 1000 cards total so that I can make the 5 different designs into 200 postcard sets. I'd tell you the idea I have for them, but I'm afraid someone will steal it if I post it. I tend to be lazy about this sort of thing anyway. I'm willing to spend about $200 to get the postcards printed. Anyone got links for me? II'll send a hand drawn postcard to whoever can find and post the cheapest place cos I don't feel like looking for one. Actually, same with buttons and stickers. I'll send a postcard to whoever can post the cheapest place for those too cos I'd rather be drawing someone a postcard than searching google all day...

mediocrity rules

i wish i could be an inanimate object: a bracelet, a feather boa, a guitar pick, a blank book, a forgotten hat, a mix cd, a tube of toothpaste, some tampons and toilet paper that could be packed up in bubble wrap and inserted in a cardboard envelope. drop me off with usps today! and address me, and stamp me, $3.50 anywhere in the country because i'm light, tossed into wheeled trolleys of packages and letters and bills, we would gather in one corner away from the bills no one likes them. squealing with all the other packages:

"where are you going?!"

"what are you?!"

"who are you for?"

"wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

new york city to the rural farm roads of pennsylvania; washington dc to los angeles; phoenix to chicago and then back; flying on planes, loaded into trucks, then walked in bags and left in mailboxes to be discovered, hopefully with glee, by the addressee.

Dr. Bombay

I am laid up with the flu. Man it sucks. I feel like Ratso.
Other news- I think I passed my reviews which means I'm practically finished here at Pratt. I'll send out a notice when I have my MFA show, probably sometime mid-late April.
I played a show with a new band called The Mutants a couple weeks ago at collective unconscious in the village. It was fun. Tom Chapman is part of the band.
I saw four good bands Sunday night just before I caught the flu: Mink Lungs, Calla, The Walkman, and The Moldy Peaches. The Moldy Peaches wear Deathwish-like costumes. Mink Lungs are really good; pyshedelic, theatrical. The show was at 66 No. 6th street in Williamsburg. Tom and I played at a loft party a few doors down from there last foruth of july. On the way back the guy from the Moldy Peaches was sitting across from me on the subway.
Bought two cds and a video recently: Del tha Funky Homosapien, the Best of Bill Withers, Some Kind of Loving, curated by Astria Suparak.
Of all the people I miss, Gus is one of them. There was nothing like having sincere telephone conversations with him when we shared a duplex.
Enough ego-strokin'. Just trying to get over this virus.
