WOOO HOOOO !

After an agonizing search, I have finally found a shoe store that carries my size shoe. In fact, they have a shrine of diffrent shoes dedicated to the size 14. They even have some Campers that I like, now I just need to save up some cash!

Since school has been out, I've been watching some movies, here are a few suggestions: After Life, The Hitch-Hiker, Unmade Beds, Sick: The life and times of Bob Flannagan Supermachochist, Grey Gardens and Shadow Magic.

Gen's worst nightmare is here.

American billionaire Robert Bigelow has announced his plan to launch a space station, within the next three years, to be used both as a "space hotel" as well as a platform for commercial drug research. [ story ]

"Robert Bigelow, who made his fortune as owner of Budget Suites of America, said he anticipates that his Bigelow Aerospace division will be able to launch a full-size space station module into orbit within 30 months.

Bigelow said the private space station would be a destination for space tourists and could be used by drug firms and other manufacturers who benefit from a zero-gravity environment.

"They are asking us for patience and for a lot of details," said Bigelow, who formed Bigelow Aerospace in 1999 and has promised to spend $500 million on his effort over the next 15 years. "The papers and forms don't exist for an application like this."
"

Horrible idea? Or genius?

Sugar....ahh...honey, honey

Went to see the Apples in Stereo at the Indie Pop Festival the other night. Apples were cool but even BETTER was this band from Vancouver, B.C., called The Salteens, a five piece, 4 guy/1 girl, keyboarded, harmonic sugar pop explosion. Lots of "ooh wahs" and "doo doos." They even have a song called "Bubba Da." If it's your kind of thing, definitely check them out if they show up in your town. They're going to be in Toronto, Ontario, Arlington, Va., and Brooklyn in the first week of June.

Aarrgh.

I figure I'll post since I haven't written anything in a while. I'm not wearing a shirt so this post may turn out to be ulta hott and sexxxy. maybe not though...

i got in a bit of trouble at work yesterday. i showed up about an hour and a half late. this is typical of me in everything i do, so it's come to be expected. you know that. that's not what i got in trouble for though...

umm, yeah...

so i did some work for a little while and then went out to lunch. when i came back, i did a little more work, and then left for 2 hours without telling anyone. i really should have said something, but i didn't for some reason and i got a "talkin to" when i got back. i felt dirty and it wasn't even worth it.

so where did i go for two hours? well, me and this guy geoff who i work with drove down to SE to buy darkroom equipment. There were two enlargers for sale in the paper that sounded like they were brand new. so when we got there, there was this little weasel man buying one, and I let Geoff buy the other one. $75. brand fucking new. in the box! enlarger, trays, filters, easel, everything! i left empty handed and got a talkin to. Geoff told me I could use his darkroom when I wanted though. That kinda makes up for it. I went to see his house last night. It's pretty awesome for DC living. It's more or less a loft like the trend of rich artists living in NY. His darkroom is one of the best home setups I've ever seen. Even of professional daily commercial photographers...

So I was looking around his house and couldn't help but notice that he had quite a large art collection. It made me wish that I had traded more artwork while I was at LSU. I would like to have stuff to hang from all of you guys. I especially remember some things at LSU art shows which I really wish I had. But I'd also like to trade with anyone reading this. Get in touch. Let's work out some trades...
