Ouch, it hurts!

I have returned to work after two days of being sick. Actually, I am still sick. When is this damned Penicillin going to kick in?

I abused my body this weekend. I went out on Saturday night with my good friend and drinking buddy, Mike. He opened a tab, and I drank a combination of way too many beers and shooters. I barely remember how I got home. Thank God for the MTA.

Thanks to my heavy alcohol consumptiuon, I awoke Sunday morning with a massive hangover and a severe sore throat. I hate sore throats, and I seem to be afflicted by them regularly. The ones I get hurt so bad that I can't even swallow a glass of water without crying. It even hurts to turn my head.

I have insurance now, so I didn't have to wait for hours in a clinic with a bunch of crackheads. My doctor actually runs his office out of a house in Brooklyn. It was so much nicer, and I didn't even have to wait to see him.

So, here I am at work, comtemplating when the hell the rain is going to end, and whether or not my sore throat is ever going to go away. Tomorrow, I head off to Washington, DC regadless.

I hate moving.

I have been moving at least every six months for the past two and a half years. In fact, the longest I've ever stayed in one place since I graduated High School was three semesters.

No matter how many times I move, I always seem to forget how horrid it is and how grumpy it makes me. I also forget my ability to procrastinate, as I am doing now. Making up things that seem useful even to my brain at the time, although they really are not. There, I've said it. They're not really.

Things like, "Up, can't pack yet, gotta sort out that resume." "I'll need to clean out my e-mail from my in box before I pack because who knows when we'll get internet service and it's sure to be crammed by then. Gotta make room." "I haven't tested out my CD burner, yet. Need to do that before I pack." "Man, I still haven't sent those Christmas presents to England. MUST get on that before I move." "Wow, I've just been working all morning. I'm going to read a bit before I pack." Meanwhile, the empty boxes sit in my car. Still waiting to be unloaded.

Good God, it's Thursday! I WILL start packing today.

"Just sit drawing up the plans and re-erect it"

Thoughts on the new Weezer record from the Killoggs Weezer fans?

At first, I was kinda disappointed but it's grown on me alot. Not a big fan of "Hash Pipe" but I dig "Photograph," "Simple Pages" and "Smile." OH, and I really like the "hip, hip" bit in "Island in the Sun."

It's no "Pinkerton" but it's fun. No shame in their game.

Working.

Well, my current job seems somewhat stable, for the time being, though I have sent out a few resumes (thanks to all who gave me tips), and I have recently sold a single DVD to a lunatic for $500, so I am definitely going on my road trip as planned.

I don't have the scratch to buy a digital camera to use to chronicle it from the road, so I just bought a GameBoy-to-PC cable. Thus, I can take pictures with my GameBoy Camera and post them on Killoggs with Evan's trusty laptop! Hahaha, I'm a nerd. (Not as much of a nerd as Jeff, he built his own cable)

We will be hitting DC on the 10th of June, so be ready. Anyone who has good ideas for places we should hit along the way back, respond here.

An email i got today:

rachel and i have come to the conclusion that you
going through a 'domestication' phase.
hints:
#1--wanting to get a dog so you can take care of it
like a child
#2--gardening?
#3--yoga: nurturing your mind and body
#4--your need for cleanliness (it IS next to
godliness, you know)
#5--raving on the phone about your new curtains that
are just faboo
#6--"Did you watch the friend's finale? rachel and
phoebe's dresses were really pretty for bridesmaid
dresses."

so i've decided to send you some websites to help you
on your journey of self-discovery. Enjoy!
