Last night I went to see Harvey Milk, they were awesome, ran into some good friends. Hung out with Joe Preston and Vinny from the Unsane, and although his band wasn't very good (Storm Of Light) he was such a cool guy and watching him play drums is always a treat.
I've been burning the candle at both ends lately, because of this, I'm in trouble at work. We played Indianapolis this weekend, and hung out with Insect Warfare and Despise You (can I name drop anymore?!?!?) and I don't think I've adjusted to well to the debauchery of the weekend. Exhaustion is a norm lately, but I can't complain and feel like I've been in a pretty good space lately. Next on the list working out and FINALLY putting all of my records away.
What's up? It's been awhile, only some of you know me anyway...
Here are some things I've observed recently...
-Josh looks silly in a bunny costume
-It's hot out, and I got no sleep last night because of it
-I saw "Mother of Tears", the sequel to Dario Argento's "Suspiria" trilogy, it was kind of fun, but REALLY cheesy. Glad I saw it in the theater, however cannot recommend it to someone who isn't really a hardcore fan.
-I have a huge zit on my back, and I can't wait until it pops.
-Going to Indianapolis... yech...
PXDX went to LA this weekend to play the LA Murderfest and to shoot the new video, this went off without a hitch, this was so much fun. I don't think I've ever had as much fun at a show as I did this weekend. Boo Yah
the Hatebeak/Birdflesh split is now available for preorder on Relapse. I can't give away my copies because I get bubkis. There are only 500 in the first press if you care about that sort of thing.

Just thinking about how awesome it'd actually be to see a zombie apocalypse. It'd be just like living in a video game, kind of a dream of mine to be the last person left on earth. I'd drive a tank into the Harbor, stock up on booze and cigarettes, maybe light New York on fire, live in the Baltimore aqaurium. You?
So, it's not enough that I moved, my grandmother died, that my record shelves broke, that my girlfriends car broke, that my car broke, that my NEW car broke. Today, I got a flat tire in my LOANER car. Yep, that was me on the side of 95 changing a tire for way too long. I know there is a god and he hates me.
this past sunday was my first "official" Pig Destroyer show at the Brutal Truth reunion in Chicago. It was awesome, hung out with Jess. Came home to find myself DEATHLY ill. Our refirigerator stopped working, and we FINALLY got a new one. I don't think it works. So I've missed out on everything. But I'm back and ready to rage, well sorta...
for those fo you who don't know, i've been moving to Woodberry, Josh helped TREMENDOUSLY on sunday, and I had to run off to a funeral. 3 days later, I'm getting sick, STILL haven't unpacked fully, our refrigerator is broken, and I fly to Chicago for a Pig Destroyer show on sat... can't WAIT until some of this stress is over
I guess this should go into the events, but it's more like I'm discussing it, and not really promoting it. This saturday in Leesburg, I'll have about a tenth of the stuff ready that I need, no real "noise" for this show and the Chicago show. Just kind of my sampler, a few samples and the boys. It'll be interesting to say the least. I'm kind of bumming on this whole thing because it's taking a very long time getting me up to speed, but we are writing a new record and will be recording it very soon. At least in Chicago, I'll get to see Brutal Truth, hopefully they will be as good as they used to be, but I don't really have high hopes.
I've got a job interview next wednesday in Lanham, Md. The offer on the table so far is pretty considerable, but the commute. Also I heard this place allows less freedom than my current job, but I can't puch a broom around this company anymore.
This weekend Claire left for her grandparents. So I had the house to myself all weekend.
Friday night, just hung with Chris at his house not spending any money (as I am SO broke), watching Cutthroats 9 videos.
Saturday, I got up, paid for the van so I can leave for tour in two weeks. $300... bummer... chilled all day, cleaned a little and just hung out, and headed to Scotts, since his wife and son were out of town for a little PxDx hang time. Watched the Tashiki Mike Masters of Horro and drank too much. Had a hard time sleeping when I got home because of the heat.
Sunday I got up, made some Hamburger Helper with real beef (as my gf doesn't eat meat), and misread the milk and used the Vanilla soy milk... ate it anyway, fuck that I wont' be broke down (well, actually...). Triac played at the Ccas with Insect Warfare, Endless Blockade, and Iron Lung... it was SO hot, no one was there and I threw my back out. Called my dad, and Claire and headed off to a friends house to watch Sarah Silverman's Jesus is Magic... awesome... but again... I'm broke and my back hurts, so I guess I'm brokeback... bummer
