julie [email] said at 11:22 AM 07-30-2008: Yep. They sent me a letter warning me it was coming, then they sent it, then they sent a letter telling me they sent it.
amanda [email] said at 11:06 PM 07-30-2008: No, they're for everyone who makes over $3K to Bibbly's income. Even my dead great aunt got one! It was addressed to "Bernice Smith, deceased." I have no clue how she will choose to stimulate the economy from beyond the grave.
amanda [email] said at 11:11 PM 07-30-2008: My boyfriend also got one, but since he owes money to the IRS from a few years back, they called it an "overpayment" and "as a courtesy" credited it to his outstanding balance.
myriam [email] said at 1:35 PM 07-30-2008: I got mine in May, but I do direct deposit, which is usually insanely fast. (I guess there's one decent thing about the IRS after all...)
chuck [email] said at 2:34 PM 07-30-2008: I received the 'it's on the way' letter as well. Then I got what looked like a check but was another letter stating that they used the money to pay delinquent taxes from 2002 or 2003. Didn't recall that I owed. My co-homeowner (girlfriend) got her direct deposit in the first wave and we bought power tools to speed up renovations.

meredith [email] said at 4:50 PM 07-30-2008: According to this I should have received mine around June 27th. That makes it a month late. I never got any communications saying I wasn't getting one.
julie [email] said at 10:17 PM 07-30-2008: God damn! It's like Brandon is some kind of information-finding-super-genius or something. Sexy Librarian WHAT
brandon [email] said at 11:42 PM 07-30-2008: I do what I can. I learned government documents from a pro. Also, if you go to the IRS page, it's like the second or third link ;)
meredith [email] said at 9:08 AM 07-31-2008: I tried the online thing. They said they had 'no specific' information on me and that I probably filled out one of the three blanks incorrectly. Asshole buck passers.
carla [email] said at 7:50 PM 07-30-2008: Same thing happened to me Meredith! It was due June 27th, still havent gotten it! So I called them (them being whatever number I found to bug them about where it is) and get this- they hadn't even processed them yet and said "call back in a month". So whenever (if ever) I happen to see that money, it's going to be a long while. Call them! Something might have happened!
meredith [email] said at 6:51 PM 08-25-2008: I got advance letter number one today!! Woo hooo!!! Hilariously, if this comes when they say it will, I'm going to be using it all in France.
