I am in a photography art show that will be on display at artomatic in DC... it's related to this website I shoot for, brightestyoungthings.com. Basically, they want us to pick our favorite 10 photos that we have shot for the site, and these will be printed large and displayed in the space.
I culled my photos down to a somewhat manageable level, and was about to trim it down to the final ten... but then I thought, as I often do, "wouldn't it be fun to have other people do my work for me?"
So, please, if you are bored, click on page one of my best of BYT set (there are 3 pages), and if you are so inclined, post links (or the small version of the images), or a list, or whatever, or just comment on the images themselves on flickr. That would be a rad help!
Also, please friend me on Flickr so you can see all my friends only content that may be of interest to killoggs members. Thanks!!!
art [email] said at 12:54 PM 04-25-2008: I will do this. But it's too bad you don't know any web whizzes that could make it easy on us and create a page with check boxes and a submit button
josh [email] said at 1:09 PM 04-25-2008: you could just click the "favorite" icon on the flickr photos, assumming you have a flickr account. or comment on the flickr photos.
anthony [email] said at 1:05 PM 04-25-2008: These two I found to be the most captivating and interesting. I think they stand out from all the other shots.
anthony [email] said at 1:40 PM 04-25-2008: if by banging things, yes, otherwise these two shots were just the standouts and I understand that they lack variety of subject, but really, these shots are great.
anthony [email] said at 2:07 PM 04-25-2008: I will also second the Dave Nada picture for the amount of depth. I like some of the shots with the intense amount of red light bleeds but it kind of flattens the image.

chrisx [email] said at 5:23 PM 04-28-2008: Dan Deacon.
Someone want to explain to me what's wrong with the white kids? I am aghast, flabbergasted, perplexed.
Is it the end result of the "ironic" artkid movement? (70's mustaches, trucker hats, Epcot Center t-shirts, BAD music...)
Or is it just drunk kids with little/no taste who go along with the crowd?
josh [email] said at 9:35 AM 04-29-2008: it always mystifies me when people say stuff like this. i don't think you need to know what makes it good, or i hope not anyway...
they have already been picked and are being printed today i think so it's cool.
kara [email] said at 9:58 AM 04-29-2008: I mean I don't know what makes party/band photos good I only like them when they're photos of me or my friends, or maybe a tranny or someone drunk exposing their anus
brandon [email] said at 7:17 PM 04-29-2008: I dig
This one, because it's really freaking dramatic:
the dan deacon pic
And about 4 others, but I couldn't decide.
