Black cats, if not kept indoors, WILL be abducted. Even cats that aren't black. Two of mine disappeared near Halloween when I was a kid. I dunno if its satanists or what, but I did know a few self proclaimed wiccans in high school that claimed they could cast spells using natural materials.
Cats are quite natural.

I know this animal-rescue chikka from school who I thought had let me down. But she actually came through last night and this morning.

No, I got the cats packed off to a guy with a farm in Prairieville, two to a lady in Ponchatoula, and the last one to this woman herself.

A thing about rescue people - I appreciate the networking and the help. But seriously, just because you think it's appropriate to have 6 animals in a 1BR apartment.

If that person ever reads this, thanks, but, your attitude sucks.

Also, disclaimer - these weren't cats from my cats, which are spayed and neutered. This was an abandoned clatch of kittens.

Spay and neuter your pets.
