The Worst Song in the History of Music

I cannot flip through the radio (or drive around and hear it on somebody else's radio) without hearing this atrocity. Yeah I understand there's a "dance" that goes along with it but come on...

Soulja Boy
Crank Dat (Soulja Boy)

[Chorus: x2]
Soulja Boy Off In This Hoe
Watch Me Crank It
Watch Me Roll
Watch Me Crank Dat Soulja Boy
Then Super Man Dat Hoe
Now Watch Me Do
(Crank Dat Soulja Boy)
Now Watch Me Do
(Crank Dat Soulja Boy)
Now Watch Me Do
(Crank Dat Soulja Boy)
Now Watch Me Do
(Crank Dat Soulja Boy)

[Verse 1:]
Soulja Boy Off In This Hoe
Watch Me Lean And Watch Me Rock
Super Man Dat Hoe
Then Watch Me Crank Dat Robocop
Super Fresh, Now Watch Me Jock
Jocking On Them Haterz Man
When I Do Dat Soulja Boy
I Lean To The Left And Crank Dat Dance
(Now You)
I'm Jocking On Yo B*tch Ass
And If We Get The Fightin
Then I'm Cocking On Your B*tch
You Catch Me At Yo Local Party
Yes I Crank It Everyday
Haterz Get Mad Cuz
"I Got Me Some Bathin Apes"

[Chorus x2]

[Verse 2:]
I'm Bouncin On My Toe
Watch Me Super Soak Dat Hoe
I'ma Pass It To Arab
Then He Gon Pass It To The Low (Low)
Haterz Wanna Be Me
Soulja Boy, I'm The Man
They Be Lookin At My Neck
Sayin Its The Rubberband Man (Man)
Watch Me Do It (Watch Me Do It)
Dance (Dance)
Let Get To It (Let Get To It)
Nope, You Can't Do It Like Me
Hoe, So Don't Do It Like Me
Folk, I See You Tryna Do It Like Me
Man That Sh*t Was Ugly

"I got me some bathin apes"?!?!?! What does that even mean? What does ANY of it mean? I can literally feel my brain shrinking every time I hear one second of this track!!!

*sigh*

bathing ape is that company that makes those hoodies that have all the pictures ALLLLL over them... you have to know the hoodies i mean. they make shoes too. they cost like $300.

No, not really. I don't know nothin' about clothes. Especially ones that cost more than 20 bucks.
josh [email] said at 1:21 AM 09-18-2007:
you cant go anywhere at all "urban" w/out seeing people in these hoodies. they are the hoodies that instead of being a solid color or having one image on them, they are made of a fabric that has a small repeated image all over them.

Can't say that I've ever seen these. However, if I DID see them I probably averted my eyes 'cuz this is pretty atrocious.

Then again, the last pair of shoes I bought were some $20 jonx from Target so what do I know about "fashion."
josh [email] said at 10:58 AM 09-18-2007:
but i mean... do you go to any areas where lots of people who like rap culture might be? it amazes me that you havent seen people wearing these hoodies. i didnt know what they were called at first, but if you go to like downtown baltimore or lexington market you would at one point see tons of people in these or - more likely - rip offs of these. i think maybe the fad is over now. pharrell was a big proponent of this company.

          BAPES!

"86 karats, you know how much digging in the planet this could take?
Patent leather BAPEs...Uh, uh! Closet like planet of the BAPE!
Monkey see, monkey do, monkeys following in place
Like I'm living in an episode of Planet of the Apes" -CLIPSE, "Ain't Cha?"
reggie [email] said at 11:09 PM 09-18-2007:
but i mean...I just don't really pay attention. I don't care that much what people are (or aren't) wearing.
josh [email] said at 9:34 AM 09-19-2007:
okay. so you have to have seen these, you just havent noticed them. as it gets cooler, when you see random dudes in hoodies, see if you notice they have all over prints. give it a few weeks, once it starts to get cooler.
reggie [email] said at 10:14 AM 09-19-2007:
That's the other thing...it is the (end of) summer. If I remember to pay attention then I'll think about noticing them. Honestly though, this has little to do with how ignorant and annoying the song is.
john [email] said at 11:48 AM 09-17-2007:
Come on now Reggie, I know you do this up in the club every night.
rick [email] said at 6:33 PM 09-17-2007:
Here is a song I heard the other day; you might like it, Reggie:

Kilo
Nasty Dancer

[Intro]
Yeah get money
Do what I want her to
She dancer for money
Do what I wanna do

[Chorus]
I'm your nasty dancer dancer for money
Do what you want me to do (do what I what her to)
I'm your freaky dancer dancer for money
I'll do what you want me to do (do what I what her to)

[Verse 1]
Pass the salt shaker so I can make her
Shake that salt all over my plate
So you wanna get paid here the table though
Put a legband on you a project ho
Now drop that shit don't waste no time
Ain't no rules could this be mine
A high price ho with a body like that
? much butt but I wonder what it shaped like
Jam a jammy, jammy a jam
All y'all tricks need to get with the program
So shake it one time
Let me see you stomp and grind
Here a butt, there a butt everywhere a butt butt
Booty all around I'm glad y'all found me
Cuz I've been in a daze
With all this pussy in my face
Ow, so shortie what's up with that
You wanna work gotta unzip your backpack
And let me see you do the rabbit in the hat trick
Cuz these niggas be lovin' that shit
Don't stop, get it, get it
Don't stop work with it
Don't stop just get it
Shake that shit don't stop work with it

Chorus (x2)

[Verse 2]
It's her attitude that puts me in the mood
Shit, shit, shit
And it feels so right, it can't be wrong
I could watch her do this all night long
She's a fine girl but all the other girls
All think she's a freak
Gotta make that money honey
Can't be livin' on the streets
>From the front to the back, from the front to the back
I didn't know she could dance like that
Ooh she so nasty
And I just might do anything she asked me
Cuz she for real
And she got my nature hard as steel
But it ain't nothin' but a shake your booty thing
I see booty comin' all out the g-string
Let me see you in your birthday suit
Baby gotta dance to get this loot
So loose my money honey
Let me see the little pink bunny
Now when I'm in the club I'm in the front row
I like to tip, tip, tip the hoes
Niggas in the club sittin' all alone
If you ain't got no money take your broke ass home

Yes I'll dance (do your dance)
Yes I'll dance (do your dance)
Yes I'll dance, I'll da-a-ance (x2)

Chorus

Anyway, I have a soft spot for this song.

My second grade girls taught me this and the "walk it out" during last Friday's recess. I made them belly laugh.

I agree about the lyrics, but there will always be awful tasteless songs on the radio to make grown-ups bristle at what the young'uns are listening to these days.

You should listen in on some of today's clapping games - it's no longer "miss suzie had a baby" which was possibly off-color depending on how you interpreted it. The clapping games my girls play are so clever and loaded with funny innuendos and absurdities, I'm going to transcribe them because they're playground cultural gems.
boson [email] said at 6:47 AM 09-18-2007:
This is this generation's roger rabbit, man. My coworker's kids love this shit, and she always comes up to me and goes like "you heard that chicken soup dance? my girls love it"
chrisx [email] said at 3:00 PM 09-18-2007:
Well, they can't all be as intelligent as the lyrics to "Read A Book"...
