"The average suicide girl might do some bondage, but they don't really understand or sympathize with the full range of deviance." - Kara

finally

The biography of Lili St. Cyr is coming out soon.
7 years ago I began doing research, and I knew that if I didn't write a biography of her, that someone would, and I would be a source.
Biography writing is really hard, so I left it to a pro.
However, I did meet with Ms. Kelly DiNardo in fall of 2004, and over dinner I provided her with a list of names, and copies of magazines. I forwarded her emails I'd received over the years from aquaintences (and a drug dealer) of Lili.
Kelly contacted me today to let me know my copy of the book is on its way.
I'm excited and optimistic. I'm glad I could play a part in immortalizing this truly fascinating person.

It is a little sad to no longer be the foremost expert.
I need to find a new obscure interest.

Not necessarily; you could always write a revisionist history challenging all previous assumptions.
huddo [email] said at 6:48 PM 09-04-2007:
write or edit the wiki for her

Kelly DiNardo rings a bell for some reason ...
ed [email] said at 3:13 PM 09-05-2007:
Maybe you're thinking of Erin Denardo?

Actually, the name sounds awfully familiar to me, too. And I've never seen Project Runway. For some reason, it made me think of Saturday Night Fever, but no... that was Manero.

AHA! I kept googling, and finally dislodged my brain-nugget. This is why that last name sounded so familiar!

she is a local freelance writer.. may well have written for the post or something!
kara [email] said at 4:46 PM 09-05-2007:
Kelly DiNardo is a freelance writer based in Washington, D.C. Spanning a broad range of topics from politics and business to food and health, Kelly's work has been published in The Washington Post, USA Today, Glamour, Redbook, Woman's Day, Cooking Light and several other publications. She is also the author behind the popular burlesque blog, The Candy Pitch (www.thecandypitch.com). Her book Gilded Lili will be published by Watson-Guptill in September

Ha! You probably edited her stuff before!

Its funny that she does a burlesque blog now... when she met with me she didn't seem to be involved or knowledgeable about that stuff, as I recall.

Awesome! I keep hoping one day someone will validate my seemingly useless knowledge.
