run, don't walk, to go see death sentence. it's basically a reimagining of death wish (it's actually based on another book by the author of death wish) with kevin bacon, john goodman, and the director of saw. it's just as amazing as that description would lead you to believe. this movie... this movie... is indescribable. it's... it's just amazing. this is possibly the next "over the top" or "fear".

The movie I really want to see this year is called "The living wake." http://www.thelivingwake.com/ It's a dark comedy that most likely will never see the light of day (or in this case, the lack of light) of a proper release.
shauna [email] said at 10:56 AM 09-06-2007: i saw this last night and was sort of meh about it. i guess i didn't feel much empathy for kevin bacon's character. it was sure no mystic river. in fact, i was pretty annoyed at him for getting his wife and other son shot due to his own poor revenge planning. and the painted-on tribal facial tat gang was weird. john goodman was great and creepy, though.
