Cool places: the Tram, petroglyphs, museums, the BioPark... As for eating, unless you want cheap college food places, I can't help you. But yeah, check out the Fix, or maybe even the alt weekly Alibi: http://alibi.com/.
art [email] said at 10:05 PM 04-26-2007: Oh, and you definitely need a car since like many western cities they roll up the sidewalks at 5:00 and there aren't many places to walk.
Truth is you should drive up to Santa Fe and hang out there - much cooler and more funky/mountainous/greener
brad [email] said at 1:51 AM 04-27-2007: I was there years ago with my parents, and I remember there being a really awesome view of the city at night, at the top of a mountain. You ride a tram to get there, I guess the one Art mentioned.
amy [email] said at 7:55 PM 04-27-2007: hey a weekend, i'd be happy to be a part-time tourguide. what kind of photo shoot would bring you way out here?
amy [email] said at 11:10 PM 04-27-2007: have you already got the locations scouted out for you? need a one day assistant? saturday or sunday? what kind of company is it? what "look" does he want?
josh [email] said at 3:37 PM 04-28-2007: he has a couple locations, a night club, a diner, and then 1-2 out of doors type ones. i could use an assistant for sure - what's your day rate?
the look for the club ones is a seedy coked up look and the others he wants something more elegant... like out in the desert, we're wearing expensive sunglasses and we're rich look at us.
amy [email] said at 12:23 AM 04-29-2007: ok just lunch is fine :)
i would really just like to do something cool/help someone else do something cool involving a camera
