OK, so you nail a bird during the pitch? Or you kill a seagull throwing in from the outfield? What's the call? What rule(s) govern(s) the calls in the first place? Is it different than if Flock of Seagulls interferred with the ball?

You rang?!?

As I recall, if a hit or thrown (from outfield or infield) ball strikes a bird or other animal, the ball is still considered 'live' and the play continues.

A pitched ball that strikes a bird is a dead ball and will not count. A do over will occur.

A Flock of Seagulls play cricket and I'm not too familiar with those rules.

Randy Johnson Did It but I don't know the ruling

My brother and I were talking about this the other night!
    "No pitch"

Also Brandon are you talking about this
kara [email] said at 4:56 PM 06-08-2006:
Oh well I guess obviously you are, you said seagull.
Well, "Umpires conferred on the bizarre happenings and ruled play should have stopped as soon as the bird was hit. "

In 1983, Dave Winfield, then with the Yankees, threw a ball that hit a seagull in Toronto. Winfield was charged with cruelty to animals, a charge that was dropped the next day.

        oh, boy.

Yes, yes, and wow that's dumb.

No it just came up in conversation and amazingly, someone here remembered off the top of his head the Toronto game from the 80s. But no one here at work has been able to single out the MLB rule here that governs interference by malicious, baseball hating, no upper-body-strength-having animals. If there is one.

By the way - he deliberately threw at the bird in case it's not clear

There's a single frame in that Randy Johnson video where the explosion of feathers looks just like Drunky Crow, only pointed the wrong way...
