This is a re-run of one of my first posts. I think we need to do this again. BTW- Milk is still very much dead
OK. Let's all list something good or happy that's happened to them either today or yesterday. I can't keep talking about this stuff anymore. Josh, the black background is depressing. Anyway, respond to this post with something good that's happened.
josh [email] said at 10:27 AM 09-13-2005: Yesterday I brought records to Chris so Reptilian can handle much of my label's mail order. Also Chris, Blake, Kevin, and I ate food and chatted about stuff (mostly Blake talking about chicks). It was fun.
Also I sold a ton of magic cards on ebay so I can put out a new record.
shauna [email] said at 11:10 AM 09-13-2005: i finished the hand-made wedding album i made for our anniversary. i am very pleased. it's, like, legit-looking. it was supposed to be done three days ago, but hey. life's long.
myriam [email] said at 11:13 AM 09-13-2005: Also, because I got to work so early, I had time in the evening to play the piano and get caught up with a good friend.
dave [email] said at 11:27 AM 09-13-2005: I saw an old man lose it in wal-mart yesterday because the lines were so long. He threw down all his items and stormed out. It was really funny because he had those high cut baptist sideburns.
brad [email] said at 1:07 PM 09-13-2005: Is that a Baptist thing? I've always thought of it as an early 90s Sulphur, got-my-haircut-at-the-West-Point-Barber-Shop thing.
dave [email] said at 4:00 PM 09-13-2005: haha my dad use to take me to get my haircut there. that place was way scary with it's saloon style doors.
I've always called them baptist burns, I don't see them very much outside the habitat of Sulphur though so maybe they are somewhat an anomoly. This definitely requires further research and analysis.
zack [email] said at 11:29 AM 09-13-2005: I inked a very detailed page and it didn't suck. Also, went to bed early. Also, had a good talk with carly about the future. Also, skipped school. Also, got several free drinks. Also, spent 200$ at whole foods on fancy groceries to restock hurricane-emptied refrigerator.
brad [email] said at 1:10 PM 09-13-2005: Woke up early and got a much-needed haircut before going to work. I hate it when the hair on my neck curlycues and creeps around the sides.
milky [email] said at 2:23 PM 09-13-2005: 1. I set my Razr V3 to play R2D2 sounds when I get text messages, and put in Stanley Spidowski singing 'Bonanza' as my ringtone. Been downloading stills from cartoons as wallpaper.
2. I got a better handle on my future.
3. Got a mixture of two steroids injected into the hip to get my vox back.
C'mon, guys, the first time I made a post like this, there were a bunch of responses.
carla [email] said at 3:00 PM 09-13-2005: I am going to see an advanced screening of The Baxter with my sister after work today. I hope it makes me laugh.
Chris and I went to Adams Morgan day and had a good time.
jeff [email] said at 3:53 PM 09-13-2005: I had talked myself out of going rollerblading last night and while reading a certain website, twin grad girls coincidentally showed up at my door in rollerblades.
chrisx [email] said at 4:11 PM 09-13-2005: The first book from my publishing house arrives from Singapore this week... went to NYC last week to a gallery opening for a HR Giger exhibit - and I may be doing a Giger book next year....got some hot new releases in the CD pipeline...my euthanasia and eugenics programs have been approved by congress- oh wait, that was just a dream.
shauna [email] said at 5:27 PM 09-13-2005: i'm taking my motorcycle class next week. my big goal is to successfully drive to my therapist's. man, that's so sad it hilarious.
shauna [email] said at 6:52 PM 09-13-2005: by agreeing to attend the prestigious PG community college course! it's gonna be me and 11 dudes with those rocket bikes. otherwise, ida had to wait until spring, and there are so many good autumn riding days ahead! i'm getting a white spacegirl helmet for my bday!
myriam [email] said at 6:54 PM 09-13-2005: ohhhh... does it cost money? I've tried to get into the state courses and they're always "sold" out like 5 mins after sales begin! It's like a BoyzIIMen concert in 1988 out there!
shauna [email] said at 7:30 PM 09-13-2005: oh, yeah, this one costs $250, but it gets you the license--like you don't have to take the dmv test. the state one for MD was in allegheny county or something ridiculous. and filled.
rick [email] said at 5:32 PM 09-13-2005: I watched "A Clockwork Orange" for the first time since high school last night. It was nice to hear the work of Wendy Carlos ( formerly William Carlos) again.
shauna [email] said at 5:37 PM 09-13-2005: we went to a sweet lil' cabin in dyke, va, for our anniversary (oh yeah! i survived--and enjoyed--a year of marriage!). it had a whirlpool and a fire pit. the nice gay men who run the place pulled up in a pickup to bring us a tiny basket of fresh-baked cookies.
cecil [email] said at 5:37 PM 09-13-2005: I'm moving to San Francisco in November to help take care of my 91-year-old grandmother, among other things. Living at my aunt's house for free! Goodbye Smog Angeles, hello bicycle!
ed [email] said at 5:41 PM 09-13-2005: Gracie and I took a load of supplies bound for Mississippi from the collection point at the church to the shipping point in Pompano. My left arm hurts from the lifting and toting, but I don't care.
julie [email] said at 6:23 PM 09-13-2005: My boss told me what a great job I'm doing, in front of a bunch of people including the person in charge of giving me raises.
I finally found a cool 50s couch with wood trim in mustard yellow tweed upholstery, and it was FREE on craigslist, and then I felt really cool when I maneuvered it, with 1 other person, down a scary 3rd story fire escape, in the dark, and I didn't fall to my death or drop the couch.
Dyed my hair from blonde/red (natural) back to my normal super fake bright cherry red, and no one in my new office made any snide remarks about it.
Had a good talk with my little brother.
Made some progress cleaning my room, and found a lot of stuff I forgot I had, including my flask from Wales and a slinky black dress.

reggie [email] said at 6:25 PM 09-13-2005: B.B. King signed books last night at my store, I bought a copy and had him sign it as a retirement gift for my dad (a big B.B. fan.)
ed [email] said at 7:33 PM 09-13-2005: Man, I wish I'da known about the BB King deal. I would have sent you money to get me one. Woulda made a great gift for my brudder-in-law.
andrew [email] said at 8:01 PM 09-13-2005: Whoa. I have an 8000, and it is about as reliable as john fourcade. If you need XP, I have a copy. I hope you can make it through the semester without tossing it out the window. Mine is a 1997 version my sister gave me though, so maybe you have something newer.
talice [email] said at 1:43 AM 09-14-2005: I found out that the "mass" in my breast that doctors have been eyeing for a year now is just normal breast tissue. Attended a good lecture by Mary Kelly. In the class I taught tonight, there were no drunk students. Hmm, that still sounds negative. Okay, I'm listening to a cd i just got in the mail and eating pine nuts by the handful. yes.
shauna [email] said at 12:44 PM 09-14-2005: that's good news. currently waiting on a doc's report on one of my close friends' "mass." this is the third person under 30 i've known that's had to go through this wringer.
also, i heard woody wants to offer his medical expertise. so you got that going for you, too!
talice [email] said at 1:40 AM 09-15-2005: my sister says like 50% of women have to get some boob related thing checked out at some point, so that's good to know. but its nervewracking anyway.
