ugh. downtime

so hear i sit in some wild studio while this band i know records. navies is on tour right now, and we had a few shows fall through (no kidding), shit happens. mike petillo, who plays bass in my band, is recording with this band on our "off days", called a day in black and white. the studio is called magpie, although i think it used to be called fort apatche (sp?). bands like dinosaur jr. superchunk and probably archers of loaf recorded here. i think. kurt somthing-or-other from converge is their engineer. i asked how being in converge was working out for him and he said "fine". heh

we played in canada a few days ago and made it across the border without much trouble. man, do those french canadia kids like to party.

its close to 130 pm and i am already slightly drunk. last night i watched die hard 2 and the king crimson dvd. now i am listening to ian fuck up his drum parts over and over, drinking natural ice and watching the frank zappa videos.

i am using killoggs today as a pure time killing-killing device. also, there is a dvd called "tom dowd and the language of music" has anyone seen this? i have, it fucking rules.

Kurt Ballou? He doesn't do God City anymore? Also, the Converge guys are making money hand over fist off of being in that band, I'd imagine...

Have you talked to Haab?
jeremy [email] said at 3:23 PM 05-18-2005:
This girl from near Lancaster always used to talk about how Kurt was her boyfriend and talk about him constantly. She tried to tell me that he wrote his music "geometrically" by making shapes on the fretboard. Kurt did this, Kurt did that. I thought she was just some nutty girl who talked to him on the internet and was obsessed or something. Now she lives with him in Boston. WTF
