Aarrgh.

I figure I'll post since I haven't written anything in a while. I'm not wearing a shirt so this post may turn out to be ulta hott and sexxxy. maybe not though...

i got in a bit of trouble at work yesterday. i showed up about an hour and a half late. this is typical of me in everything i do, so it's come to be expected. you know that. that's not what i got in trouble for though...

umm, yeah...

so i did some work for a little while and then went out to lunch. when i came back, i did a little more work, and then left for 2 hours without telling anyone. i really should have said something, but i didn't for some reason and i got a "talkin to" when i got back. i felt dirty and it wasn't even worth it.

so where did i go for two hours? well, me and this guy geoff who i work with drove down to SE to buy darkroom equipment. There were two enlargers for sale in the paper that sounded like they were brand new. so when we got there, there was this little weasel man buying one, and I let Geoff buy the other one. $75. brand fucking new. in the box! enlarger, trays, filters, easel, everything! i left empty handed and got a talkin to. Geoff told me I could use his darkroom when I wanted though. That kinda makes up for it. I went to see his house last night. It's pretty awesome for DC living. It's more or less a loft like the trend of rich artists living in NY. His darkroom is one of the best home setups I've ever seen. Even of professional daily commercial photographers...

So I was looking around his house and couldn't help but notice that he had quite a large art collection. It made me wish that I had traded more artwork while I was at LSU. I would like to have stuff to hang from all of you guys. I especially remember some things at LSU art shows which I really wish I had. But I'd also like to trade with anyone reading this. Get in touch. Let's work out some trades...

Craig and I have been discussing this. I also want some of you guy's stuff.

I don't make art, but I am an excellent cook. I will trade baked goods for art. E-mail me if you're hungry.

i am actually currently working towards getting back into classes. Unfortunately in this podunk town, the one nice thing they have is the top ranked photo dept in the US at UNew Mexico, so getting into just any old class requires a portfolio. I sold all my stuff for a dollar at a garage sale before I moved out west, so I must begin working again. I actually think it is better for your character to be forced to work on something that you have no idea will get you what you want. I am way too used to the sure thing mentality. That is why I live in NM.

wow. a lot of responses happen these days when you don't check back until the end of the day...

gen- i'll draw your brother as soon as i can. actually it's best if i get all the people's pictures who you guys want me to draw in the next two weeks so i can draw them all at once. i imagine i won't be able to draw new heads for a couple of weeks after that.

andrew- yes, i would definitely like to trade artwork with you. i have an idea. we should call each other up one night that we both have free, give each other a theme to work with (and possibly a medium to work in), and see what we can come up with during one night of work... and then trade through the mail.... anyone else interested in this idea, let me know...again, i prolly won't be able to do this until i'm in california...

mary- i'd also be willing to try this idea with a bake off if you're interested. we'll have a bake off before i leave town. yes, we will.

carla- don't try it. it was a bad idea. i really should have told at least diana what i was up to. i felt bad about it.
