    I'm a sucker for Vermeer for some reason. Maybe it's because everything these days is so artificially lit. His lighting is so much different than the times we've grown up in yet you know it's real (more or less). It also reminds me of sneaking around buildings where you use the incoming or indirect light from other rooms to navigate.

i went to that same vermeer thing at the met andrew. i wasnt classy enough to get anything out of it. mostly i just watched everyone else act really amazed and wondered what was so good.
