Huh? do you mean in real life or here on killoggs? Cause noone's been talking about either movie for at least a day.
reggie [email] said at 2:43 AM 04-09-2005:
On the 'Llogs. I know noone's been talking about it but I knew that I would start it up again somehow. So this was a pre-emptive strike.

Dude, Sin City rocks., but let's talk about Star Wars!

I saw Sin City last night...and I want more.

Well the DVD is supposed to have lots of cut footge, and you can watch the theatrical version or each storie all by itself, with all the cut footage (ie all the quiet and potentially emotionally effective moments that were cut to make the feature more SLAMMIN' in the theatre).

I was happy with what I saw and I plan to see in in the theater again, and possibly a third time. It looks great BIG.

I would also like to see another story in the series. I didn't read the series. What I did was take in what I "read" visually...the images from the books stuck with me but not the words. I am having a hard time articulating this, but I hope you follow me.

I have images of other Miller work burned into my head. A single page of images that show me a story, the idea is carried out well.

I didn't think the movie was going to work until the character of Marv appeared.

About the costuming...I realised a lot of it was windbreaker material, but I noticed it once or twice and then took the images for what they were...leather was leather in my eyes if that was the intention of the director. I accepted it pretty quickly. It was "slammin'" to me, very much so. It was a good experience. I wish more movies took risks, in the spirit of this film, like Gondry and Jonze have done, and hopefully, Linklater is trying in 'A Scanner Darkly.' Lucas? He's pushing the DV medium and presentation in theaters, and I'm all for that. Content-wise, if that's his idea of pushing the envelope so the public and theaters will embrace the technology, he's not helping.
